Description:

I hosted a swap similar to this a few years ago. The idea is to use an old toilet roll cardboard tube or make one that size if you can not bear the thought of recycling the toilet roll. Cover one end of the tube so it can stand up and you have a protected bottom to it. The goal is to fill the tube with bits and pieces that are goodies for your partner. This is a bit of a lucky dip swap as you will receive all sorts of things that are small enough to fit inside. It is not profile specific rather luck of the draw. There will be only one partner each.

Some things that can be included are buttons, lace, ribbon, used stamps, stickers, lip balm, paper puch outs, brads, paper clips, embelishments of all kinds, mini textas - sharpies, pens, erasers, coins, hair clips, hair ties, nail polish, lipstick, earings, balloons.

The only rule is that things must be clean, undamaged and in good taste. Please do not send junk to your partner. It is ok to regift using items you have received from other swaps however make sure they are in good condition.

when you have filled your cardboard tube cover the top and then cover the rest of the roll. please make sure you include a note with your tube stating your name and the name of this swap. The tube is then ready to post but make sure you put it in a post office padded bag to mail it.

remember that if you receive a tube full of goodies your partner has met the swap requirement. If there are itmes you dont particularly like or want to use then regift them. If you rpartner sends you damaged, unclean items then please rate accordingly.

PLEASE only join if you will see this swap to the end. It doesnt take a lot of time but it does require some thought and a good stash of goodies.

Swap open to all with a rating of 4.8 or higher. I will screen participants carefully. even if your rating is high but you have a recent three or one unexplained I will not allow you to join in the swap. Thanks everyone . Please join in and have fun.

You have to mail it the way it is? Vover the tops and put in the mail? OMG can't take that risk :/ Post is not gentle and a toiletpaper roll is not that strong at least here it isn't, it"s a bit fluffy lol The idea is very great but sorry i cannot take that risk...

I think it's the cardboard tube minus the fluffy toilet paper. :) I have used paper towel rolls before, cut down to toilet roll size. And maybe a rolled up bit of thick card stock or flexible cardboard could be used to reinforce the roll?

Ok some confusion? Use a toilet roll tube the cardboard part, when you post it it goes I a padded post bag like a little package. Maybe I didn't explain it we'll enough I am sorry. You don't post the tube without putting it in a post office padded bag. Cutting down paper towel tube to size is perfect

I just changed the instructions to include putting the roll in a padded bag from the post office hope that helps

I was in the other one of these swaps you hosted several years ago, and it was tons of fun and the tubes went great through the mail. Thanks for hosting another one!

I'm guessing newbies aren't allowed for this swap? =/
