Description:

For this swap we will make embellished recipe pages to add to our 8.5" x 11" recipe scrapbooks. You will have 3 partners and will send 2 recipe pages to each partner for a total of 4 recipes per person (two per page). You choose the recipes you wanna send:)) It can be anything you think your partner will like....if you need suggestions then send your partner a message or read there profile. Please send something like an appetizer, casserole, something sweet, or a soothing drink....Be sure to put two of the same kind of recipes on the same page.

Please make the pages pretty with lots of embellishments, but not too thick so they will fit nicely in our recipe albums. Don't just send a plain printed out recipe....must be worthy of adding to our scrapbooks.

To join this swap you must have a rating of 4.5 with no 1 ratings within the past 3 months. Newbies are welcome with a fully filled out profile.

If this goes good, I plan on making this a monthly swap with a certain theme each month:))

Please put your recipe on a 4x6 inch recipe card. Be sure to embellish it.

Are you saying: 4 x 6 recipes like a recipe card but two on a 8 x 11 page (paper) and add embelishments like stickers and stuff to brighten it up? Who has a recipe album that you mentioned?

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. Thanks for clearifying it for me. I for one have one I am starting. I got this idea from the lady that is doing the recipes on 12 x 12 sheets for scrapbooking. I just took her idea and ran with it changing it up a little. I made it regular size scrapbooking paper (8.5 x 11) instead of the 12 x 12. I am not sure how to send that big of a sheet of paper overseas without it costing me a fortune.

Yep, I am the lady that had the 12 x 12 swap, lol. But, I edited the swap so that we'll be making 8" x 8" rather than 12" x 12" and am also limiting the shipping to USA/CANADA. After thinking about it and receiving comments from swappers concerned about shipping the larger pages, I had to agree, lol.
I have been doing alot of research lately and have wanted to start a recipe scrapbook. I found an online scrapbook supply store that has 8" x 8" recipe scrapbook albums, so have decided that's the size I want to go with:)) Will fit on my shelf much better than the 12" x 12" anyway, lol. KJ...I think you have a wonderful idea, but the only problem I have with it is combining 2 different types of recipes on the same page. I think the idea of having 2 recipes on one page is pretty cool, but I would personally prefer that the recipes be the same type of food. That's just my opinion:))

Bettflow, you are right. I didn't think of that. I will change mine to be 2 same type recipes on one page. Thanks for the input.

I think this is a great idea! I love new recipes and I love scrapbooking... never thought of putting the two together :) I am looking foward to it!
