hi, happy new year i would like to join but i want to know

the note card is like postcards or as greeting card

A note card is folded, where as a post card is just one rectangular piece.

I tried to find some pics, but they seem all too big, and I can't get them to fit on the page!!!

Just google note cards if I am not making myself clear!!!!!!! Some times I am like that!!!

Would 3x5 inch or 4x6 inch note cards be okay, or do they really need to be 5x7 inch? Many of the blank notes I have are in these sizes: http://tinyurl.com/22l9a4 and http://tinyurl.com/2zppse

There are also flat notes that come with a coordinating envelope like these http://tinyurl.com/2brx62 but they can't be used for this swap.

Canada Post must have different regulations from the United States Postal Service. I've sent plenty of those sizes with no problems both in the US and to Canada. Thanks.

No, there are different regulations in different countries. I once sent a little notecard letter to my parents and they had to pay an extra fee, because it was 1 cm too small, and postal guy had not told me (and the fee is higher when the receiver has to pay it, because they can refuse accepting the mail and post doesn`t get the extra money paid than) Grrr. There are definetly different regulations in different countries. For instance somehow big letters to USA are allowed to be bigger than within Germany.

I've got my note cards all picked out, just waiting for the swap to start. I tried to go for the bigger ones so everyone would be able to mail them to friends without issue wth the postal service.
