~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHIMSY JAR COLOR COMBO SWAP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I haven't hosted a swap in quite a long time, but definitely feel the need to step up and host a Whimsey Jar swap, since I've recently been sucked into the world 'o whimsey! (this will be my own first whimsy jar swap ever, in fact ...) This swap is color combo themed and the colors for this round are: PINK, BLACK and WHITE. Your whimsey jar may contain any combination and assortment of items in: pink or black or white or black & white or pink & black or white & pink or... well, you get the gist ... Just make sure to represent all three colors in or on the jar somehow ... You may use a glass or plastic jar, preferably 3"-5" but no less than 3" high (the large size -6 ounce- baby food jars are perfect, but use any style or shape container you feel fits the size requirements) The jar in my very quickly-made swap image up there is 4" tall and was found in the craft section of a discount store. This is a one partner swap and is International, so keep the postage cost in mind before you join. Please make sure your jar is cushioned and packaged well for mailing so that it arrives safe & intact! Last day to signup is July 20, and your whimsy jar must be mailed to your partner by August 15 - that gives you over 3 weeks to prepare and send a lovely, well-thought-out parcel ... Please take the time to read your partner's profile and try to fill their jar with items that not only fit the color theme, but are things they will both love and use. I'd love everyone to aim for a 5+HEART rating - which doesn't necessarily mean go overboard on the cost or number of items (but DO fill those jars!) - just make it unique, personal, fun and useful, decorated and filled with things you yourself would love to receive ... and most of all - have fun putting it togther! Swap is open to any member with a 4.8 rating and above and no no sends within the last 45 days. You must have a completely filled out profile. Newbies are welcome, just contact me first so I know you are serious about participating. I will be reading profiles and removing you from the list if you do not meet these criteria. I will not personally be angeling packages for this swap, however anyone else on the list is welcome to angel should the need arise. I'm confident it won't. Note that I am away on vacation from July 8 - July 17 and will not be available to respond to any email or SB contact - I'll get caught up on everything when I return, and I've left myself plenty of time before the sign up ends to go through the list of swappers carefully ... Why did you go and have to pick my most favorite colors? I was so trying to ignore this swap...until I opened it and saw my fav's...these are the colors in my home office, in my daughters' room, my craft room! I couldn't resist! Thanks for hosting this swap! I've already started gathering items!

LOL same here! Why did you have to pick these colors? they are all nice ones and look great 2gether.. i was not going to join and i seen this last night then i went to my computer/kawaii/craft room and took a look at my items and i had to join in on the fun also!! Hope I get a better outcome of this whimsy swap then the last one i joined.. it was very disapointing for me... Cant wait!! >__<

Thank you all for signing up, and for the newbies <3 who contacted me first, you're all welcome to join :) These colors kept coming up in some other packages I was putting together recently, and I haven't done a Whimsy Jar yet, so ... 1+1= This swap! We'll have tons of fun!

Two more days left to sign up! Has everyone been hunting and gathering stuff already? I know I have! Can't wait to start, I will be reading profiles, etc then assigning partners first thing Monday - looks to be a nice mix of seasoned Whimsey Jar swappers and newcomers alike so I'm sure it will be a really nice swap :)

Yay! Glad to have you aboard :) I've just finished reading through everyone - all profiles are filled out - though a couple are a little light, ya may wanna add some details/specifics if you expect a really personalized swap - I know alot of swappers, myself included, really try to gear packages toward our partners, so a fully filled out profile helps alot!

And no one has any unexplained ratings that I've come across, even the newcomers have started getting some ratings, so - let's get our swap on!

I found the Most Perfect item for my partner yesterday at the craft store, quite by accident, too! but I am so excited to get to use it in this swap :) If you're ever in the craft shop and hear someone squealing to themselves: "Ooooh! Okay, I HAVE to get this!" from like, 8 aisles over - it's probably me ;)

TODAY'S the DAY!!

Today is the deadline to mail your whimsy jar ~ if you have some reason you are unable to mail today, PLEASE contact me before day's end to let me know why and when you WILL be able to send. Late for legit reasons is not a problem with me, you just need to make contact to explain ...

Please also be sure to mark your swap as SENT when you have mailed it, so that your partner knows it should be on it's way : )

Good Morning ~ Checking in on the swaplist - I still have 2 people marked as Not Sent ~ I've contacted them to see if their jars have gone out or will be shortly, and for them to please contact & update their partners with the info. Hope everyone is starting to recieve their packages! Don't forget to rate your partners when they arrive too.

THANKS for playing - I'll come up with a new color combo & do this again soon - but today is the first day of school and we may be looking at a tropical storm / hurricane hitting in the next couple days, so I gotta go get busy ... Seeya!
