Description:

Hello everyone! Welcome to the second round of the International Second- Hand Book Swap!

This swap is for all of you book lovers out there who enjoy browsing in second hand bookstores and like to be surprised with books they didn't personally choose out for themselves.

I don't know about you, but I love going through the dusty shelves and pulling out books that have been discarded for whatever reason and giving them a new home on my bookshelf. Entering these kind of shops are an adventure- what will I come out with?

In this swap, you will be asked to venture out to your local second hand bookstore and purchase a book for your partner according to their wishlist. You will then wrap it up and send it to them.

GUIDELINES

-You will be assigned one partner.

-As this is a serious swap, no newbies or questionable ratings from the past three months allowed. The lowest rating permitted is 4.9.

-Please bear in mind that this is an international swap, so don't join if you aren't willing to pay for international shipping. Books can be heavy.

-Again, as this is an international swap, all books must be in English.

-After signing up for the swap, you will write down in the comments section a list of book genres you enjoy. You must list at least 5 different book genres. Please do not list specific books or series- the point of the swap is to be surprised!

-Part of the swap is the experience of shopping in the second hand bookstore. That means that you do not go into a regular bookstore and purchase a new book. However, if you happen to already own a book which you think your partner may like, you are allowed to send it to them.

-One of the cons in second hand bookstores is that some of the books there are damaged. The book you buy for your partner should be in a good condition, which means that the cover shouldn't be torn, no pages missing and no markings in the book (unless it's something minor like the name of the previous owner). If you have any questions regarding this issue, feel free to message me.

-I have the right to remove from the swap any participant who does not meet the requirements of the swap or does not post a wishlist before the signup deadline.

-Remember, have fun! ;)

I really like historical fiction, especially Tudor era and the various ancients (Egypt, Greece, Rome, etc').

My guilty pleasure is sci-fi romance novels with vampires, incubuses and the like.

Fantasy is another favorite of mine and I absolutely adore manga!

Art books are appreciated as well (no pop art or modern art, please).
