Description:

Stamp image on ATC. Now is a good time to color the image if you want but use something that won't smear or rub off. Cover the entire ATC with Versamark & then Glassy Glaze (I used Ultra Thick Embossing Powder). Tap off powder & heat with heat gun. Quickly add more powder or GG & heat again. Do this a total of 3 times. You may need to add more Versamark before each layer for better coverage.

After the 3rd time of embossing, you will place the ATC in the freezer. My directions say to leave it in the freezer for 15 min but, I have better results when I leave it in for 2 hours.

When you take it out of the freezer, you will bend the ATC & the embossing powder will crack which is where the name Cracked Glass comes from. Crack it in several places. Attach the ATC to a sturdy backing.

Make sure you work quickly once you add the Versamark ink. Get your GG or UTEE ready ahead of time. Some inks will start to run once the Versamark or other embossing ink is added. But if you work quickly, it should be ok. You can use regular clear embossing powder for this but it takes more time and many more layers. It should end up thick like an epoxy embellishment. You can try cracking it without putting it in the freezer. When I first tried it, I didn't know the trick about the freezer and it cracked at room temperature.
