The August 2014 Fandom in a Mini Bag swap is Game of Thrones.

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, movies, episodes, moments, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 5 different types of items although more is certainly encouraged to make your bag look full of goodies.

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, legal music CDs, charms, ornaments, bookmarks, address labels, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fanfic drabbles/ficlets, etc.

More specific ideas: dragon eggs, handdrawn map, raven with message, dire wolf plushie, guide on how to cope with your favorite character's death, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 quart (AT LEAST 8.5inches by 7 inches or 21.5cm by 18cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a quart in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of August and please send by the deadline (August 31)

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be... well, you can imagine their grisly deaths; suffice it to say the will never get the throne.

I am entering this for my father, who loves Games of Thrones. I will probably save the items and give them to him for Christmas, as I'm terrible at finding him good gifts that time of year. If you need to personalize anything, let me know and I'll send you his info.

He likes the series as a whole. He is NOT a big reader, but Game of Thrones the TV show has actually made him read the books! He already has a 2014 calendar, a House of Targaryen scarf, a book of maps, the 3D map puzzle, and these coasters. I believe he likes the houses of Stark and Targaryen best, but he likes the whole series overall. Anything storebought or handmade would be magnificent (he appreciates crafts--especially pottery) or a mix of items. I don't know the fandom too well but if you have any questions, please message me and I'll call my mother to see if she can get the answer out of my dad without making the reason too obvious! ;-)

I am in love with the GoT TV series! I have had the first book to read for months and have still not sat down to read it :/ (I know, I know!) I love the costumes! I would love to wear those gowns! My favorite characters are Arya, Daenerys, Tyrion, John Snow, Brienne, Ygritte, and Sansa is slowly creeping up there. Of course, I love all the characters but they are my favorites! I also favor the Hose of Stark and Targaryen. I'm not sure if I want Arya or Daenerys to end up ruling the Iron Throne of Westeros?

With that being said, I would love anything with a Wolf or Dragon or even a three eyed Raven! Oh a mini direwolf would be divine! A nice tapestry bag, amulet, or even an faux coin from Bravos. Anything with Valar Morghulis!! I surprisingly have no GoT T-shirts or other fandomy items! So I'm down for all types of fun goodies!!

I love the books & the show! My favorite character is Daenerys Targaryen, hands down. I I also love Tyrion - he just makes me smile.

I would love anything related to Kahleesi, or actually any of the women. I even have a soft spot for Ceresi :/ Handmade or store bought is good, I don't have anything besides the books & blu rays currently

I haven't ever read the books or own them but I love the tv show I'm very addicted! I love the different type of fan art, and the art I see at comic cons for the tv show. My favorite characters are Kahlessi and Tyrion. I love the dragons and the dragon eggs!! I love the quote "My sun and stars, Moon of my life" I was also in love with Robb Stark!! <3 I love the style of jewelry they wear in the show. Handmade or store bought doesn't matter to me. I currently don't have anything yet but would love this to be the start of my collection:D I just got into the show this year and I'm all up to date with the show. It was also the best moment when Jeffory died for me!!

My husband and I love LOVE this show! I'm caught up to the latest episode. I haven't read the books (if you have PLEASE no spoilers). My favorite character is Jon Snow 'you know nothing Jon Snow' always funny, and Arya Stark and her needle. :) I like Brandon Stark too. I look forward to seeing whatever surprises my partner decides to send me.
