Description:

Dear Swappahs,

Whatever your favorite processed junk food, it may have come in a thin cardboard box. Cracker Jacks. A Mac-n-Cheese box is a perfect size, as is a pilaf box or rice-a-roni.

Create three postcards for three partners. Do not just cut a rectangle and mail it: utilize the designs, colors and shapes of your cardboard boxes and make an interesting & pleasing postcard for your partner that you are proud to send.

Read partners' profiles, write a little personal note, send 'em on out. All welcome, be good, have fun!

from your friendly paper-o-phile.

This sounds fun! Do we have to use cardboard? Oreos don't come in a box, but surely something interesting could be created with their packaging on cardstock.... ;-)

Dear Ellie, you have the idea exactly. Recycle some junk food packaging to make fabulous postcards. -M

I have my postcards already for this swap!

I may use something other than junkfood, but still grocery packaging, am glad to participate in this second CREATIVE grocery box postie swap! Thanks for hostin.

I know I'm in Texas, but I meant hosting, not hostin!

Sorry to be dense-is it one pc per person, total=3 or 3 per person total=9?

CrayonMom 08/ 1/2008 #

Total=3: 1 for each partner, unless you just want to send extras, I guess.

I would like to take part! Should the cards be send in an envelope or naked? Thanks:)?

NorthernBorder 08/ 4/2008 #

Naked cards please, with stamp & note. They must get through the mail! Enjoy.

i started doing this with my girl scouts about 8 years ago--we have had more fun mailing relatives and reminding them to recycle! Thanks for giving me some reasons to use this cardboard other than for atc's.

Dang! Let me know when #3 comes around...
