Description:

For this swap, you will send your partner a postcard (naked/not in an envelope) whereupon you have written the first line of the book you are currently reading. If you're reading more than one book right now, you're welcome to choose the best or try to squeeze more than one onto the postcard. Be sure to also include the title and author of the book(s) as well as your swap-bot name and the words "CL~First Line" so your partner knows what swap this is for. The postcard does not have to be book-related but certainly can be if you wish.

As an added bonus, by participating in this swap you are automatically entered to win a package of items I picked up from the National Book Festival (August 30) in Washington, D.C. This will include a National Book Festival tote bag, a ton of bookmarks and book recommendation pamphlets, and a few other miscellaneous items. I'll probably throw in a few bookmarks from previous years' festivals as well. After the send deadline, I will randomly generate the winner out of all who have sent their postcards.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I did mean the first full sentence. I forgot that "line" could be interpreted a few different ways, but you're looking for the first sentence.

Thank you all for sending on time! I assigned each participant a number and used random.org to generate the winner of my drawing... @ChelleHames Congratulations! I'll have your package out to you on Monday or Tuesday!
