This is a themed September/October swap which on SWL is the official "out of the comfort zone/trying something new" month!! I recently drew an ATC for someone who wasn't into collage, etc which is usually what I do for creative swaps. I'm a paper crafter, I don't draw, paint... I can't do things that require brushes or pens :P BUT, I went out of my comfort zone as that's what I am doing this week as a little project for myself... and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not an artist by any means, by it is surprising what you can do when you really put your mind to it... SO... For this swap we will be making 1 ATC. Standard size (playing card) on a sturdy background, like card or paper stock (something thick and sturdy; not paper.) On the ATC, you'll hand draw or paint either:
OR
Please don't just draw something with pencil on a piece of card and call it done. Please put effort into it. Use other mediums like ribbon, beads, colour, glitter, collage, washi tape, layers, whatever you want! Make something you are proud of. This will possibly me the 2nd ATC I've ever hand drawn EVER so saying that; everyone else that doesn't usually draw please help me out and join this swap too! Let's try something new. Artists who draw and paint as their chosen craft are also welcome to join; art is all art! When you are trying something new it can be daunting. Please don't worry; and those more experienced please don't expect the best drawing/painting you've ever seen ever. Give us some leeway! Saying this -- please no lousy efforts, "newbies" (including myself) ;D BIRD OR GIRL. 1 ATC. Include a note for your partner with username/swap name & maybe reason behind what you have chosen and what you have made. Send on time. Have fun! |
