Do you have a picture? I'm a bit confused sorry not a scrapper.

Mel 01/14/2007 #

Pardon my ignorance, but what's a 'shaker'? :)

I have no idea what a journal box (Could it be as simple as a box to keep a journal in? Somehow, I don't think so, lol.) or a shaker is. Please explain more, I feel like I'm missing out on some wonderful crafty thing I haven't tried yet!

I agree. I googled this, and it kept coming up with some sort of mechanical housing type thing. Can you provide some additional info about journal boxes and shakers?

I'm new to scrapbooking and was wondering what they were too, and here's what I found:

Shakers: http://scrapbooking.about.com/library/weekly/blshakertags.htm http://www.scrapbookingfrenzy.com/view/movers_s.aspx

Journal Boxes: I just found stuff about framed areas for journaling in scrapbooks.

I'll probably not have the time (or skill or supplies) to do this swap, but it does sound fun!

The shakers are cool, but I still don't know what a journal box is. Could it be a decorated page with a box left open for journaling?

This sounds like an interesting swap. But I too amd confused as to what a journal box is.

A "journal box" if I am right!! is a spot on a scrapbook page that your write in to tell about what the picture/s are about on the page. I am thinking this is what they want. Sometimes people make them out of seprate pieces of paper and then glue them to the scrapbook page. A shaker is like a frame from slide pictures with plastic to seal sand, beads, and different little things to make the scrapbook page cute and fun. I hope this helps!!

I guess nobody is signing up, cuz we don't know what it is!

SORRY EVERYONE!!! Been a bit crazy. Journal Boxes are matted areas used to journal in. basically what the page and pics are about...memories and stuff. Shaker boxes are a fun....I am putting pictures opn my blog for you and can put instructions up as well on makeing shakers. It's really easy. I for christmas had a santa I cut his belly out taped transparent film on it then strips of dbl sticky tape on that and then some beads and a backing on top of that. Once done it shakes. I have a web page and I've added pictures and instructions for you. the direct link is: http://www.tagworld.com/trgjenna/World/MyWeb.aspx?page=7840d0a0-31c7-4069-aa28-b73fe2e144bb

OR www.tagworld/trgjenna and once there click on SCRAPBOOKING. Hope this helps let me know if you have any other questions. Best way is through the message center I really like that !!! Jenna

Sounds like fun, but I would rather make one or two items rather than ten. I have made shaker boxes but they can take a bit of time.
