Description:

This year, beginning in November, I plan to use my devotion time with the book "Preparing My Heart For Advent" by Ann Marie Stewart. In December, I have 2 books "Illuminate" & "Celebrate" by Paul Sheneman. Both state that they are "An Advent Experience". I may use them for my devotion time in December. I haven't really had a chance to look at them yet. If anyone has a suggestion for a devotional book for December, please send me a message or comment below.

On to the swap... I would like to share lists of what I do for Christmas and also read about how others celebrate. We have always had what the twins call "Countdown To Christmas" where we do an activity a day and open a small gift. So for this swap, you will send your partner a list of at least 20 things they could do as during the Christmas season. Examples are bake a birthday cake for Jesus, make neighbors cookies, make a Christmas play list... You may include things you do as a family, but also please include at least 10 things that you could do alone.

Along with the list, you will send your 2 partners 3 flat wrapped gifts each. These gifts are not meant to cost a lot and are sender's choice. Some examples are a couple of note cards, postcards, a few recipe cards, a bookmark... I encourage you to use things from your stash rather than buying items. Of course, you may buy whatever you wish & gifts do not have to be flat. Also, items may be handmade. Just try to make your partners happy with a little gift to open during the Christmas season.

What to send to each of your 2 partners:

  • A list of 20 ways to celebrate Christmas. At least half the list being ways you can celebrate alone.

  • 3 small wrapped gifts

Have A Merry Christmas!
