I'm interested in this but have 2 questions

1) Are non food herbs OK such as lavender (I know you can eat it but, I think most people prefer it for it's scent) or, if my partner has a Cat, I just finished drying another batch of Catnip for the Grandcats. 2) I love making herb blends such as my own homemade chili powder, steak seasoning and taco mix. Is that acceptable? I make the chili mix using dried peppers. I'm happy to provide recipes with the mixes also.

@DG If it was me, I'd be more than happy to receive all of those things!

Many people don't like to receive food items that aren't factory sealed though. My suggestion would be to ask your partner before sending. Unless your partner agrees, I think items should be factory sealed.

I would love yo be partnered with you though - they sound great! :)

Will there need to be a Customs Form filled out? Especially if its a Food item, some countries might not let it in because this is an International Swap ?? and some Herbs and Spices are expensive.. Sounds like an interesting Swap but I don't like to send international because of the Postage for Packages is quite high..

@BlueberryLady You always need to fill out a customs form for international packages. Dried herbs and spices are allowed to be shipped internationally, just not fresh herbs. This will remain an international swap, and I know this is expensive, which us why only those people who are willing to put in a little money should join. You do end up receiving the same value in return, so it does even out and pay for itself in the end. :)

Hey I love the idea of this swap, but not internationally for now. Would you be thinking of making this US at some point or are you opposed to the idea of someone making this swap, but for the US? Thanks!

Sara76 11/ 8/2014 #

Hi @SneaselKat9

I live in Australia, not the US, so I won't be making a US swap, but I'm more than happy for you to make one if you like :)
