I really feel like there should be some sort of option as to whether you want to have an international partner or not. I had to send a swap to an international partner and it cost me $13!!!! That was the cheapest option. That is not what I thought I was getting into.

If you sign up for a international swap you might end up with international partner. There are a lot of USA-only swaps here on swap-bot, so there should be enough options for those. I'm sorry that you found out a hard way that the international postage can be pricey.
