Welcome to February Mail Art guys! Thank you for your ongoing support with this swap. I love it & I'm sure you do, too! This month sees a little more experimental themes - I've used 1 popular TV/movie for each partner. I don't like most of these so don't expect you too either; it's just a bit of fun! Intrepret how you like; research themes/quotes/famous symbols? Or don't use them at all. :) Let me know what you think & lets get super creative this month. You are more than welcome to join this swap if you have never participated before, or if you have never done mail art before. For this swap you will have 5 partners & a month to send to all of them. The idea is that you send to each partner throughout the month, not all at once, or at the last minute. PLEASE don't join this swap if you can't do this. Send to all of your partners gradually through the month. Bare in mind international partners! I will not be sending reminders when to send to your partners, it is up to you. Therefore please be responsible and good with time management. Below for you are some themes for each envie. Please choose at least 3 themes to use given on each envie. You don't have to use all of them but TRY!! ;) if you super creative then go for it! Think outside the box! I'd love to see everyone trying to use as many as they can :) Combined themes do not count as 2. For example using an "orange stripe" for orange and stripe, doesn't count as 2 from the list. That could be either a stripe, or orange. No cheating. ;) Please don't sticker slap, write a quote on a plain envie & call it done, or send a pre-made decorated envie from the store. It's called mail art for a reason! Anything goes as long as it fits at least 3 themes somehow and you get creative. Include at least a note inside for your partner explaining themes you used for which week. Surprises/extras are up to sender. Perhaps let us know what you have planned for Feb, doing anything for Valentines? Looking forward to spring? Or what you did this month... For partner 1: History, Lego, curved text, Half/half, Red, Collage Half/half: Envelope is cut in half with washi tape/detail/image horizontal or diagnolly For partner 2: Geography, Harry potter, all capitals text, Close up/Macro, Yellow, Sticker Close up/Macro; 1 image or detail that takes up most of the envelope For partner 3: Travel, The hunger games, large text, Faceless, Pink, Washi tape Faceless; Images of animals/humans are without faces. E.g., feet, torso, shoulders, back, hair For partner 4: Childrens book, Frozen (the movie), small text, Boxes, Blue, Hand drawn doodle Boxes; There is at least 1 box square detail on the envelope with something inside it (like a frame) For partner 5: Dictionary, Game of thrones, tiny text, Empty space, Green, Paint/stamp or ink Empty space; Envelope is minimalistic with mostly 1 colour/image/detail and the other details very small. Enjoy! |
