I got some really lovely messages about the idea for this swap series, so here is the first one. Due to the nature of the swaps, I will run them every other month, and will also give approx. 6 weeks between sign up and send by dates so as to give us all plenty of time to really do the swaps justice! Based on some of the responses, I have tweaked the requirements a bit! You should send your partner a total of four items relating to the Goddess. The first three should be shop bought or handmade Γ’β¬β you can choose to send all three shop bought items if you prefer, and if you choose to send handmade items, it should be no more than two of the three items. Items sent are senders choice Γ’β¬β some suggestions would be;- a small trinket, pendant, keyring, small book, atc, bookmark, handmade postcard etc. The fourth item is a bit of research work! Γ’β¬β You should produce either by hand (neatly please!) or computer generated, a piece of information regarding the Goddess. Please try to make it in approx. A5 size (148 x 210mm/5.8 x 8.3 inches). This is so it can easily be added to a journal, or you could even bind these all together in your own Goddess book. The information you should produce could be a brief resume of the Goddess, or it could be your favourite story involving her etc. The length of this is negotiable, but as a guide, I would say at least 2 pages long (please only print on one side in case your partner wants to glue it into a journal). Try to make this as interesting as possible Γ’β¬β add some pictures etc. Please take some time over this and make it something interesting to read Γ’β¬β please do not simply print the page from Wikepedia!!! Some use of images is acceptable - even encouraged! I am going to try and tie in the Goddess with the month/season, so this first swap in the series is Ostara the Germanic Goddess of Spring. Usual group rules apply, and as always, any questions/comments etc. please just let me know. |
