Description:

I am so fascinated with inchies- I'm going to have to come up with something to do with them soon, but I love them so much, I simply cannot stop joining swaps for them and making them, and thinking about them... and now hosting them! This should be a pretty cool swap:

So what I am thinking, is you make several inchies, I'm going to say at least six, but there should be one continuous image across several of them together, and they should be attached together as such by either jump rings, string, or something similar. All six (or more) do not have to be the same image, although it's okay if they are. You could have two sets of three, or a set of two and one of four, or three of two... I realize this sounds very confusing, so I will give an example or two. Say, as per my intense fascination with mermaids, I was going to make a mermaid using this technique. I might paste a picture of a lady's head on one inchie, draw her torse and attach a bra of shells to the next inchie down, and spread her tail and fins over the next two inchies. Then I would punch teeny holes in the top and/or bottom edges of each, and tie them together with raffia. Then, for my remaining two inchies, I might choose to cut out a piece of watercolor paper 1"x2", paint on a waterfall, add some gloss or glitter and a word or two, then cut it in half (to officially have two inchies) and glue them to a pretty piece of blue ribbon, spaced a little bit apart. Or, for another example, I might make a 3x3 square, paint/draw/paste on a bowl of fruit, cut it into inchies, embellish each one as it's own, and then punch teeny holes in the sides and jump ring them all together back into a 3x3 square of inchies. Well, I'm going to stop giving away free ideas, now. :)

Hopefully you get the idea, pm me with questions. This is USA only, because even with inchies, I am a penny pincher and it drives me nuts to send something to someone out of the country when I could be sending it to someone else just as appreciative for half the price. However, feel free to start an international one, or anything similar to acommodate send dates or specific themes. If anyone starts a themed one with the same idea, please let me know, I'd be excited to join.

As usual, nothing offensive to your partner, nothing religious unless that's what they're into, but that's the only thing partner specific, so unless you plan on doing the crucifixion (sp?) of Jesus (dang it! another free idea!), you should be free to start before partners are assigned. You must be rated a 4.8 or above in at least five mail swaps. I have so many ideas for this, that I would be happy to angel, but I don't want to have to, if you get my drift.

I think I already said USA only, 1 partner only, but if you are as excited as i am, feel free to go crazy and start a new one, minimum of six inchies, no maximum, every inchie must be attached to at least one other inchie, they must have some continuous stream, not just a relative theme, but clearly they go together. I'll give you a couple weeks to do this, but feel free to start whenever. Most importantly, have fun!

PM me with any questions at all.

Enjoy! -Erica

6 inchies put together with jump rings will be the size of an ATC. Very cool idea.

Just a question. Where can I find jump rings and what are they? I'm limited on the stores that I go to. (I live in a small town) So can I find them anywhere they sell craft items?
