Mixed media tag

Alright, time to break out the acrylic, water colors, gesso, rubber stamps, spray inks, and other goodies! They'll come in handy for this mixed media tag swap!

You'll be assigned one partner to send one mixed media tag. If this swap becomes popular I'll do themed or multiple tags in the future but let's get our creative juices flowing first.

Tag must have:

*At least two different types of media. (Although as you play with building backgrounds and texture you'll see that this step is easy peasy)

*3 different techniques must be utilized.

*At least two different colors must be used. Shadows, contrast, and demension are your friends and to make your work pop play around with those colors.

*1 sentiment.

Techniques include but are not limited to: 1. Stenciling. 2. Ghosting with spray inks. 3. Watercolor painting. 4. Liquid or any other acrylic painting, splatters, masking. 5. Applying paint with something other than a paint brush. (Bubble wrap, lids, fingers, spatula, old hotel door key, etc) 6.Rubber stamps. 7.Gesso resists. 8.Collage. Go crazy!

Media includes but are not limited to: 1. Sprays. 2. Paint of anytype. 3. Oil pastel. 4. Beeswax. 5. Gesso. 6. Gelatos. 7. Pen. 8. Markers. 9. Charcoal (although if you use charcoal or anything else that doesn't set and will smudge please use a sealant spray of some sort. Your partner will want to keep your art and if it's smudged before it reaches them they'll be disappointed) 10. Stickers. 11. Hot glue.

The possibilities are endless. This swap is NOT profile based but how nice would it be to get a tag with a sentiment that resonates with you? Or how cool would it be to get a tag with a theme that speaks to you, or maybe it has your favorite colors incorporated? I say that because swappers like to make their partners smile. The bonus to making someone smile might mean you earn a heart!

Please make sure your work is fully dry before packaging!!!! Have fun creating. I'll angel for anyone who doesn't receive a tag but let's play nice and only join if you intend to send. Fill out those profiles. Newbies are welcome.
