Music Scavenger Hunt
Swap Coordinator:ccap (contact)
Swap categories: Challenges  Music  Newbie
Number of people in swap:12
Location:International
Type:Type 1: Electronic
Last day to signup/drop:February 11, 2015
Date items must be sent by:February 15, 2015
Number of swap partners:5
Description:

This one is partially inspired by the fact that Valentine’s Day is coming up. And so, a playlist based partially on that.

You will have 5 partners.

Email the list below (remember to bcc) with a song that represents a minimum of 12 of the options noted below (feel free to complete all 20 if you’d like but 12 is the minimum). Be sure to tell your partners which song represents which category. For each song you must also provide a link to where said song can be heard on the internet. A youtube link is great but there are other options available as well.

As it’s an email swap I will allow newbies. However, if you’re not a newbie you can’t have any unexplained 1s or 3s in the past 6 months (with active users). I’m of the mindset that you should get all your affairs in order before joining other swaps.

And now, the Scavenger Hunt (not all need to be love songs):

  1. Song that always makes you a bit teary-eyed.
  2. Love song written about something other than a person (a place? a pet?).
  3. Love song written before 1960.
  4. Song that includes the sounds of a banjo or ukulele.
  5. Love song that talks about someone dying.
  6. Summery song.
  7. Love song to a child.
  8. Song popular in the 60s.
  9. Song popular in the 70s.
  10. Song popular in the 80s.
  11. A song you don’t think everyone has heard that you love (eg. likely hasn’t been played on pop radio).
  12. A song from a Disney movie.
  13. A song that talks about loss of love.
  14. A song with a female name in the title.
  15. A song with a male name in the title.
  16. A song that includes the word “kiss” in the title.
  17. A song that includes the word “heart” in the title.
  18. A song that includes the word “goodbye” in the title.
  19. A song you’d like played at your funeral.
  20. A song you like to slow-dance to.
