SWL ~ Easy Smash/Art Journal pages #1 ~ Red&Yellow

We will be making 2 pages, minimum of postcard size for our partners which we will smash/decorate/art up. I will hopefully be going through the rainbow of colours so we can make pages of every colour.

Requirements ~

• Minimum size for your pages is 5.8 x 4.1. This is a typical postcard size. Please try to avoid going this small; any normal notebook, scrapbook, journal page or piece of paper is fine; A4 or smaller.

~ The material for your pages is senders choice. You can use paper, paper stock, fabric, or something else. Please nothing flimsy, it should be a good base to hold your page details. You are welcome to do these pages in a note/scrap/smash/journal book you already have and pull the pages out to send to your partner.

~ Do 2 pages all together, in total making 1 double page spread.

~ 1 of the pages must be Red theme, and the other page Yellow theme.

~ Decorate your page however you like. Collage, paint, draw, doodle, cut and paste, rubber stamp, hole-punch, use ephemera, journal cards, off cuts and paper scraps, used stamps, washi tape, sticky notes, distress, add die-cuts, glitter, cut-outs, words, stickers, ribbon, twine, pictures, the list honestly goes on! whatever YOU want. If you do a rough job, don't worry! It's supposed to look like that.

~ If you are worried about the pages and not sure what they should look like - there is no answer. Every page that every makes will be different! You can just stick things in if you want with glue; you don't have to worry about doing an amazing drawing or using mixed media. You can be as basic as you wish; use any mediums and just decorate your pages well. Make them interesting. :)

~ One page must be prodominantly red and one page yellow the WHOLE page & details don't have to be ALL that colour. It can just be details, the background, etc.

~ Include a note for your partner maybe about what you made, how you made it, your thoughts on your pages, and don't forget swap name & username.

~ You're sending the pages not the whole book you might use! Tear the pages out if you are using a notebook, etc. Please don't fold the pages in the envelope.

DON'T STRESS about "getting it right" or making something that "is correct" -- go with YOUR heart and YOUR creativity. All you have to do is decorate 2 pieces of paper, really - one with some red, one with some yellow. Easy!

There's LOADS of inspiration, pictures, youtube videos, pinterests of smashbooks, junk journals, booklets, mini zines ~ everything, the internet is your oyster. I would recommend that you just make something you want though; and avoid unneccessary tutorials that can be stressful. ;)
