Description:

HI and welcome to my swap! I thought I would create this fun swap for all the linguists out there, that speak at least two languages..

You will have ONE partner to whom you will send:

  • An A4 sheet of vocabulary/basic phrases etc..introducing your 'foreign language' that you are proficient in..so that it is like a 'teaching lesson'. And then please write the English equivalent meaning of each of the words/phrases!

  • A brief note describing this language - for example , how you learnt it, was it easy, how long you have spoken it, is it your mother tongue etc...?

  • Please enclose also a small gift that you think your partner will like. This may or may not be language related.

Happy swapping! Newbies welcome!

Is it okay if English is my foreign language and I write the words/phrases etc in my mother tongue ?

Sorry Schaefchen that defeats the whole purpose of a 'foreign language' lesson - the 'origin' language needs to be foreign, if you know what I mean!

@jenthewen Then why is it written "...is it your mother tongue etc....?" in the description? The language might be still foreign for the partner :) // I can speak more languages than English and my mother tongue, so I'm out of trouble, but the description seems a bit confusing though... :)

I see what you mean, Marankovazena .....Okay...Schaefchen87, rather than change the description then , feel free to do that, and use English as your foreign language. Apologies folks for any confusion xx

Okay, no problem :-)
