*** I Have decided to extend the sending date! HAPPY SWAPPING!

Hello everyone!

This is my first swap hosting and I hope you enjoy it.

****To partipate you should be rated wtih at least a 4.95 and have no 1s or 3s in the past 6 months. Newbies with a well-filled out profile and lots of enthusiasm are welcome.

Requirements (What must be inside your package):

  • Special tea of your choice.
  • Handcrafted Book bind: A personal favourite story or mythology, must be connected to you culturally, for example: A story ormyth of an author from your country or continent, of the same speaking language, something that speaks to you and you wish to share.

Format of Story:

  • Since this is going to be an international swap you must send the story in the english language.
  • Please write the title in the original language and translated to english too.
  • If its a myth and you don't know the name of the author is ok not to write it, if you do know, please let you partner know the name of the author.
  • Use Garamond, 10pt font size and 16 leading (space between lines of text), if you cannot adjust the leading, you can adjust line spacing to 1.5 in Microsoft word.
  • Feel free to use any type of paper you'd like, but make sure it maintains contrast for good readability.

The size of the book:

  • Must be 10,8 x 18 approximately. This size is thought to come from legal size paper divided into four sides, but I understand that standard paper sizes vary from country to country so the size can vary slightly, you may use A4, Legal or Letter (what ever you usually use to print in your printer).

Length of story:

  • The story must not exceed 2 sheets of the legal/A4/Letter size paper, this is 16 pages in total (remember using both sides of the paper).

Binding of book:

  • You may choose whatever binding method you'd like as long as you keep it neat. Here are some tutorials to help you:

Cover: Use you imagination! This is the perfect area to create a unique composition that relates to the story, illustration, paper crafts, personal photography, digital design, are all welcome as long as it is your own creation, dont forget to right the name and author on the cover.

Backside: use this space to right something to your partner, like why you chose this story and the tea. On the inside part of the backside attach a little envelope where your tea will be in.

++++*

The idea of this swap is to enjoy your reading while you have a cup of tea.

I will Angel, If anyone is willing to help me Angel I would be grateful <3

PLEASE: - If it is possible send your package with a tracking code, this is a way to make sure your package arrives to its destination. - Any questions feel free to ask in the comments.

HAPPY SWAPPING!

4.90 is actually quite low...I would never do a swap this involved with such a low rating.

coquitah 03/13/2015 #

Really? Isn't 5 the highest rate? I am sure there are some people out there which don't have a perfect rating because of reasons which are not entirely their fault. You would suggest 5 as rating?

coquitah 03/13/2015 #

I have changed the swap requirements, I hope you guys can give me feed back concerning this.

oblivionspin 03/13/2015 #

5 is the highest rating, but the way the ratings are weighted a member can have a lot of ones and still have a fairly high rating. You might want to click around on some of the profiles listed in the questionable swappers thread to get a better feel for the rating system. (For example look at @cookingbear who has a 4.7 rating with 37 ones, it's a little counter-intuitive at first)

Thanks for the info!

Awesome thread, I did my homework and looking forward to the swap :)

Hey guys! I will extend the sign up date :) to the 29th! Just in case we have more participants.

SandyLane 03/29/2015 #

I would have liked to join this swap and have made a start on my book. I know I won't get it finished in time. Will you be doing this swap again?

coquitah 03/30/2015 #

Yes! If this works out of course I will SandyLane! I will keep you up to date :)
