EE: 2 Part with a Twist Swap (Aqua/Turquoise)

For this swap you will be making envelopes out of any paper that is Aqua/Turquoise (Basically anything in the blue-greenish color category) But there is a twist to mail-art return envelope. You will have to work in a piece of ephemera, that your partner has provided, onto the return mail-art envie

Swap Requirements:

1st PART

• Create 3 envelopes large enough to send through the postal service (according to the USPS the smallest acceptable "letter" size envelope that can be mailed is 5" X 3.5"

• The 3 envelopes must be embellishment free

• The paper to make the envelopes from may have any pattern, design, or texture as long as the paper is an Aqua/Turquoise/Blue-Greenish color

• There should be NO paper repeats -i.e. (3 envelopes made of out 3 different Aqua/Turquoise/Blue-Greenish papers)

• In addition with the 3 Aqua/Turquoise/Blue-Greenish envelopes you MUST include a piece of ephemera that will be worked onto the return mail-art envie. Remember the ephemera is going on the outside of an envelope, so it needs to be something relatively flat and easy to adhere to a paper envelope. (Examples of the Ephemera could be: a sticker, ribbon, a stamped image, a paper die cut, a clipping from a book or magazine, a sample of washi tape, etc.)

• You may provide more than one type of ephemera, but the creator of return MA envie only has to use one piece of any items sent, and if they do want more of a challenge they are more than welcome to use all the ephemera that is provided

• The person sending the 3 handmade envelopes must make sure their mailing address is available for the partner, who is receiving the 3 envelopes, to find so that they can then complete the 2nd part of the swap.

2nd PART

Once you have received the 3 envelopes, you will pick one to decorate and then send your mail art envie back to your "receive from" partner. The return envelope must have the piece of ephemera that came with the envelopes worked into your mail-art masterpiece

• You may use any medium and style i.e. (painting, drawing, stamping, collage, mixed media, etc.) to create your mail art as long as you have included the piece of ephemera somewhere on the return MA envelope.

• Please include a friendly note (short or long- whatever you prefer)for your partner to read

Since the creator of the mail art envie can't be rated, the "receive from" partner=(the person who sent the 3 handmade envelopes) MUST leave a message in comments section of their "send to" partner's =(creator of the mail art envie) profile page to let that person know their mail art envie has arrived.

• The "send by" deadline for the mail art envie will be 2 weeks from the arrival day of the 3 handmade envelopes + piece of ephemera, and since each person's mailing deadline for the mail art envie will be different I will be relying on the honor system for this part of the swap.
