Send your partner a letter talking about your favourite insect or arachnid and explaining why that particular creature holds such a privileged place in your heart. As per a request, I am using the term "letter" loosely. If you want to send a greeting card, postcard, etc, that is okay with me, too. But please don't just write a sentence or two. Write a bit of a biography of your chosen "bug" as well as whether you have personally had any encounters with one. If you've never personally met the object of your affection, write a bit about how you learned of its existence and what draws you to it. Bonus points for pictures or drawings of your chosen subject, but all that is necessary for a 5-rating is a letter. Bonus points also for discussing a bit about how you became interested in entomology, although again, not required. With your letter, send your partner a little flat themed surprise. It can be a postcard, bookmark, etc. We're looking to keep postage low here, so while you are welcome to send a medium flat-rate box with your framed butterfly collection in it, recipients should not expect such largesse! :) In summary, send a letter and a small flat gift and you are good. |
