Description:

Hi everyone, In this swap we will be exchanging a 6 word essay...no more, no less, about something that is true in life or something that describes you. For example, "Wet feet can make you slip." It can be funny or enlightening , but either way it has to be a truth.

Your 6 word essay will go on a 3 1/2 x 5 inch piece of cardstock, lightly decorated by you, put in an envelope and sent to your partner(s).

Newbies welcome with a well filled out profile. Please, no flakers; if you don't have time to create your essay or send it to your partner, please don't join. There will be more swaps in the future :)

Also, no unexplained 1's or 3s on your profile, and no less than a 4.95 rating. I will be checking profiles.

If turnout is good, I will consider increasing partners. Hope to see you there! This is an easy and fun swap, so come along ;)

Clever idea!

I still love Hemingway's, perhaps the one that started the 6 word story. "For Sale: Baby Shoes. Never worn." Classic.

Love to have you in the swap, thebragal & user2637 :)

@user2637 My absolute favorite short story!

Thanks but I don't join many international swaps. It's $1.10 to send 1 oz out of the U.S. now. Sigh.

Okay, next round l will have a USA swap and international ;)

And away we go!

I've found myself in America with no ruler. I'm pretty sure the piece of card I have is around 31/2 by 5 but I'm not 100% sure. Is it ok if it's just about right?

ann60 04/19/2015 #

vedalovelo, in fairness to all the others, the size of the card needs to be 3 1/2 x 5 inches on cardstock. Rulers can be purchased at just about any store in the paper and pencil aisle. You can also download a free ruler to your computer and print it out.

Hey @ann60 thanks for the idea to download a free ruler. Yea I just didn't want to go off on the bus trying to find an art shop to buy a ruler I'd never use again. That's all. The dimensions seemed arbitrary so that's why I asked. Thanks anyway and it'll be the exact size you want x

Oh the printable ruler can be found here: printable-ruler.org in case anyone wants to try. I sent it to my boyfriend in work to print. Simple :)
