  • Send only the page to your partner; no book required. Keeps postage to a minimum!

  • You are welcome to send both pages to your partner, but only 1 is required.

  • Your page can be on any paper or card material, minimum postcard size.

For this first swap, things are kept easy. The technique "collage" is usually what smashbooking is by default, so it shouldn't be hard to use. :)

Have fun

I think the size of the page is essential. If we want to collect pages from different swappers how to bind all these pages if the sizes are all different?? My suggestion is to set the size of the page to make swapping, collecting and binding easy.

You posted - Choose from the theme and technique below

So are we to choose between Spring or Collage???? Or are you saying the choice is how we represent a Spring collage?

Just want to make sure I understand it right

Pikkis 05/ 9/2015 #

I agree with Lucine about the page size! I have a journal sized about 7" x 5" and I think thatร‚ยดs smaller than the store-bought Smash-books, so it would be nice to have a correct sized page to add into my journal...

I am interested in ding tis swap but since today is the last day for sign ups and you never answered my question so I was sure about what the swap requirement is, I'm gonna have to pass on this one

betty194 05/10/2015 #

@user8179 I reread this now in the forum as I wasnร‚ยดt shure myself...

Do I use theme or technique?

You can use either or both. You are required to create 2 pages in the swap; but only 1 goes to your partner (or both, if you wish). This gives you an option of which page you want to create for your partner; the theme, or the technique. You can also combine the two, if you wish.

For example, if you join the first swap, it is Spring & Collage. You could make the page for your partner Spring, and the other page Collage, or you could make the page for your partner both Spring and collage.

---So I understood that we can choose if we either use spring or doing a collage or making a combination of both, hope that ร‚ยดs correct

I agree with some others on the size, I think it would be better to have them all in the same size, although I probably wouldnร‚ยดt join if the size requirement was bigger than A5 (makes shippingcosts for me like sending a package)

@user8179 sorry. I don't get notifications for swap comments. Next time please message me.

cutesygirlynai 05/12/2015 #

@lucine I'm sorry but that's not really practical. Not everyone has the same size journals or books and it would be impossible to ask everyone who is joining what size they want. If the page you receive is too small you could always stick it on a paper that is big enough and bind that, stick in it a scrapbook or another journal. Also, the size depends on what the participants wish to send due to postage. E.g if I send a wider size I have to pay more in postage even if it is the same weight. If the page you receive is too big, you could always fold it, trim it or keep it in a folder, I understand what you're saying but not everyone had the same size journals or folders. What size you want might not be the size I want and vice versa,

cutesygirlynai 05/12/2015 #

@pikkas you could always ask your partner, but they might not feel comfortable working with that size. It is senders choice as this just works better for everyone. We are all using different ways to store these pages and we don't know what size is perfect for the journals or storage we have but the pages you receive will not be large and would fit in most scrapbooks, folders, journals and notebooks. The size you might need you partner might not have the equipment to make that size. You could always host your own journal page swap with a specific size for you. Hope this helps :)

cutesygirlynai 05/12/2015 #

@betty194 yep that's right, you can use either or both themes. Thank you for helping and if you have any questions in future please message me :)

cutesygirlynai 05/12/2015 #

@pikkas and btw, I wouldn't have a problem making you that size so you could always ask your partner and they might do it for you :)

cutesygirlynai 05/12/2015 #

@betty194 thanks for your advice on the sizes. I might hold a group poll. I agree with you, I don't like to send more than a5 as the cost is more but I have received pages bigger than a5 and they are so beautiful I wouldn't want to take away the senders choice in size for this matter, in my smashbook I love having different varieties of sizes and pieces, as I know many do, but like I said I may host a poll and see what the majority think, thank you

Pikkis 05/26/2015 #

Thanks for the answers :)! Iร‚ยดm happy with any size smaller than 5" X 7" and Iร‚ยดm also willing to make a page for my partner with a specific size if you just ask me! So I will join the swap!
