Description:

Hello my fellow swappers! I have been looking for a swap like this since I was recently introduced to friendship books and I have yet to find the kind of swap I wanted to participate in! So, here goes nothing!

For this swap you will just have one partner and you will send that partner one friendship book! The FB can be one that you have gotten from someone else in a different swap or one you've made for yourself or even one you've made for someone else. Just as long as you send an FB! If you receive a proper FB, rate a five and be fair, ya'll! I will most likely make more swaps like this in hopes of filling up and sending off different FBs that will eventually get back to their owners!

I'll be checking ratings and profiles, as I'm trying to keep this a flake free zone!

As always, feel free to message me with any questions and happy swapping everyone!

Update: I made one the minimum number of FBs for this swap for anyone new to FB swapping but you may send as many as you like to get more value for your postage.

Can I ask what a FB (Friendship Book) is? :) Thank you!

midge 05/11/2015 #

I don't know either! There is a glossary of terms in the "help" section (top right of your screen). I'm going to go look now!

May we send two or three, just to get the value of our postage? Thanks.

A slow but good example of FBS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6REHoqvlr_4

I have about 15 filled Friendship Books if any one would like a private swap and could send me some used postage stamps, bookmarks, stickers, journal cards, whatever. I would like to pass them on to someone who collects them. Thank you.

@pobuffy that is perfectly fine! many people send more than one. I only made one the bare minimum for anyone new to FBs like I was recently.

@midge and @CharlesPorter

"Friendship Book (FB) Γ’β‚¬β€œ A booklet that is passed via the mail from person to person. It includes addresses of all the signers and is intended for the recipient to find new penpals and/or swap partners. It is generally made of a few pages of paper (any size, but usually made to fit in a standard size envelope) stapled together. The cover or front page includes who made the booklet (complete with name and address) and who the booklet was made for (complete with name and address). The rest of the booklet is reserved for the Ò€œsigners.Ò€ The person who signs the last available space then sends the booklet back home to the person the booklet was made for."

Also, the link @dalbright commented really helped me when I was first starting FB swaps so give that a look if you're still unclear!

@Barbara - I'm not sure I understand...are the Friendship Books ones that were made for you and are filled, but you just don't want them anymore?
