Short Story: Lyrical Summer

You will send your two partners an original short story, written by you just for this swap. The short story should be between 500 and 1000 words, typed or nicely handwritten. (If you write by hand, please keep a copy of the story in the event of lost mail.)

The catch? There's a theme!

This story will have a LYRICAL SUMMER theme. What does that even mean?! :) Weeeelllll, on the top of your page, you'll write one line of lyrics from a song that you're enjoying listening to this summer (can be new or old). You will not use this line in your actual story, but you'll use it as inspiration, a launching spot, for your story. Inspiration can take crazy turns so your story may be directly based on it, or it may have triggered something that looks quite opposite. It's not up to the recipient to judge that; we just get to enjoy seeing how we each get inspired.

Everything else about the story is sender's choice (including G to R rating, genre, etc.). This is a sharing of creativity and personal writing vision. Let's enjoy our differences and have fun. If there is a genre / etc that you hate, that would make you enjoy your partner's story significantly less, I would recommend skipping on this swap. :)

One note: I make short stories type 3 swaps because writing creatively is time-intensive, making them fall fairly within this category.

To participate: 4.98 minimum rating. No recent / unresolved 1s or 3s. At least 10 type 2 & 3 swaps. I will remove anyone I feel can hinder the happy smoothness of this swap.
