Before anything, please remember that I'd really, really, really like to receive photos of the swap you send & receive. You can send them to [email protected], and they will end up on the SULG blog, where we can all admire and gush and foodgasm over each other's parcels.

With that out of the way, this SULG works a bit different from the SULGs you're used to. (The same format over and over gets boring anyway.)

Step 1

You get on Pinterest and create a board called "Summer SULG". On it, you pin at least 20 Summery pictures that inspire you (BBQ, beach bags, flip flops, picnics, and so on).

Keep in mind, this is NOT a hard wishlisht, and this swap is no more or less expensive than any other swaps. So it's lovely if you post pictures of surfboards, just don't expect to receive one in the mail.

Step 2

You contact the person who's supposed to send to you (PM here on Swap Bot), and send them the link of your board. You can also leave it here in the comments section. Do this before, or on the same day as, swap partners are assigned. The later you are, the harder you make it for your swap partner to find something good.

Step 3

You check out the Pinterest board of your swap partner, and you buy this person: 3 drinks, 3 edible items, and 7 other items. Also, 1 inventory of the items you sent and why. And you send it on its way.

The requirements:

• For the drinks, satchets are fine. You can send tea, coffee, or hot coco, but you're encouraged to send something else if you can, like packets of lemonade.

• Everything must be new and unused. For exceptions, please check the FAQ.

• Minimum price of an item: 2 euros, 2 GBP, 2 USD, and so on. No currency converting because some countries are pricier than others.

• Maximum price of an item: 8 euros, 8 GBP, 8 USD, and so on.

• No single sweets - or if you send single sweets they must be at least 5 of each type you send.

• Chocolate bars and candy bars count = 1 of each type, and only if they are approximately 15 cm / 5.9 inch in length.

• Feel free to be literal (give a mason jar if the board contains a picture of a mason jar), or interpretive (give something else but in the style of the item in the picture). But do make it so that your swap partner understands why you chose the item, don't make it far-fetched.

• Feel free to go by the wishlist/likes list of your swap partner as well.

• Do not send anything on your swap partner's dislikes list.

This swap should be fun to receive AND fun to send, so feel to get creative.
