Description:

I´ve been asked to make another of these APC-swaps as a continuation to the one I hosted in April and I really enjoyed the card from the first swap, so why not... So here it goes...

I love building decks with altered playing cards! Never heard of them? Altered playing cards (APCs) are almost like ATCs, but you have to use a real playing card as a base. The playing card HAS to be the same size as an ATC (2,5 x 3,5 inches), so that usually means a poker-sized playing card. You decorate the card with the same way as an ATC, but at least the top left corner suit and number must be left visible (see my example card).

So this swap is for all of us who want to start a new APC deck or to get new cards for existing decks. When you´ve signed up for the swap, you´ll post preferably at least three different themes of cards that you´re collecting to the Comments-section below. If you have no specific themes, give at least some ideas for your partner that you´d love to get. You then make one card for your partner from the wishlist! And the APC has to have the vintage touch, of course!

Here are some important rules once more: - one card for one partner - USE ONLY AN ATC-SIZED PLAYING CARD (2,5 x 3,5 inches); USING ANY OTHER SIZE WILL GIVE YOUR PARTNER A GOOD REASON TO GIVE YOU 3 FOR A RATING! - use collage/ mixed media only - leave the top left corner suit and number visible - put the same information on the back of the card as for ATCs (your name, username, location, card title, date etc.) - remember to post your wishes below - AFTER THE PARTNERS HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED, CONTACT YOUR PARTNER FOR THE SUIT AND NUMBER OF THE CARD SHE/ HE WANTS TO RECEIVE - make the APC look vintage

If you have any questions or concerns about the swap, feel free to pm me!

where do I get a deck of cards 2.5X3.5?

If I can't find this size I'd love to do a reg APC swap with someone!!

Pikkis 06/21/2015 #

Darcilena, the size is used in poker-cards, so is there a casino anywhere nearby where you could ask for a deck of cards? Or is here anyone Canadian who could help with the information, please...?

Canadian here... I think our dollar stores sell poker cards, at least the ones around me do. Hope that might help.

No canadarosebud, I´m not going to make this as a series. This is a wishlist-swap and the suit and the numebr of the card is to be negotiated between the swap partners. So will you post your wishes about the themes, please!
