Description:

I love swapping random journals with a couple friends, so I decided it might be fun to do that on here as well. These are completely filled out journals.

I will run this swap for 45 days. The journal you send will have no blank pages or pages left over.

Please Have a Completely Filled Out Profile. I will remove anyone who doesn't.

  • Must use at least a Composition notebook. They have roughly 70 pages in them. (Journal will have front and backs of pages filled out)

  • In addition to journal entries, you will include photos, artwork, etc every so often. Make this journal something fun. Not just words. I know not all of us are good at art (myself included), so photos you took, artwork from an envelope, etc. (Think of this as kind of a smash book but with lots of writing)

  • Please use these journal prompts for 10 of your entries: THESE ARE IN ADDITION TO YOUR OWN ENTRIES. THESE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES YOU WRITE

    1. An entry telling your partner about yourself. Think of this entry as kind of a letter.

    2. Where do you see yourself in 2 years?

    3. When you were in high school - What did you want to be when you grew up and why? Did you become that?

    4. Tell us about your family

    5. Your bucket list

    6. You're given $10,000... under one condition - You have to spend half of it on someone else. What would you spend it on?

    7. What motivates you in life?

    8. How have you changed in the past 5 years?

    9. List of 5 thing you LOVE about yourself.

    10. List of 5 things you're PROUD of that you have accomplished in your life.

  • I know not everyone writes everyday. So I just ask that every single page is filled by the end of the 45 days.

  • Feel free to make your own if you choose to.

  • Make sure the swap title and your Swap-Bot ID is on the journal.

  • I reserve the right to ban people from this swap without an explanation.

I love Random Journals - a little bit of everything. Some days may require a spread (facing pages) but most days I will do fronts. Is that okay?

thisisme 06/22/2015 #

@grandmaroro - Fronts and backs please.

Would anyone in Europe like to do this swap privately with me? I am in the UK. Please message me!

Okee Dokee! I am going on a 4-day retreat at the end of July - after a month of 24/7 five-yr-old granddaughter. She is awesome but I will be 72 on July 6!!! 'Nuff said. The journal will go with me. I am really excited for this.

@grandmaroro - I'm so jealous... I'd love to get away for 4 days. LOL

The only composition book I can find has 100 pages. They are on sale at Walmart for .64 cents right now. That will be 4+ pages a day unless I remove 15 of them. :) I love these kinds of swaps.

Do they have to be the traditional black and white composition book? And also the notebook that I have is 40 pages, but counting the back brings the total to 80 pages. I would send you a picture of the notebook but a I can't figure out how to put pictures in comments or messages.

@theaterfan23 - it needs to have at least the same amount of pages as a composition notebook

I have just finished my journal. Still need to cover the back and get it boxed up. Unfortunately, it won't go to the post office until Monday. I hate to mail on the final day - but I will this time. So sorry @swededreams

I'm beginning to think mine won't even be done by the 14th.

grandmaroro 09/12/2015 #

Oh, JOY! Just back from the post office where I put a medium-size flat-rate box in the mail. It is supposed to arrive at its' destination on Tuesday. YAY!!!

@thisisme I sent a journal today and I received a journal today. It is so funny how differently we read the same instructions. The one I made looks more like a SMASH book/junk journal. Bless her heart, the one I received is more of a hand written journal with some lovely animal pictures and some stencilled leaves. But, back to the hand-writing - that is a lot of writing. Guess I am so amazed because with arthritic hands, I simply can't write that much any more. Part of mine had to be typed. Got to go rate now. Thanks for hosting and, hopefully, you will host more random journals. Maybe consider a smaller size with fewer pages next time.

@grandmaroro - I think lesss pages would be lovely. Just not sure how many to do... I'm thinking maybe 30 pages...
