SWL ~ Art Journal Page #4 ~ Collage

Time to put together an art journal with fabulous art from our fellow group members!

I'm planning on continuing these page swaps regularly. Some themes might be easy, some might be a little more of a challenge. You are welcome to take the opportunity to experiment and stretch your horizons or to stick to what you are comfortable making.

I'm planning on keeping the size the same across all of the swaps so that we can bind the pages as we see fit, or add them to journals we may already have.

Time to create a collage!

col·lage (kəˈläZH) noun - 1. a piece of art made by sticking various different materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric onto a backing. 2. the art of making collages. 3. a combination or collection of various things.

You can choose any topic you would like for your page, but somehow incorporate a collage.

The requirements for your journal page:

• Theme: Sender's Choice Collage
• Size: 5" x 5" (12.7 cm x 12.7 cm)
• Color Palette: Any
• Artistic Requirements: Collage as the main focus, additional mediums are always welcome and at your discretion. (please do not use sharpies or tape on your journal pages, as they will not retain their look)

Since this is an art journal page and the art we create we do in our image, this page is completely sender's choice. Please leave the back of your page blank in case your partner wants to mount your page and include a note for your partner with at least the swap information, and if it isn't obvious, how your page relates to the theme.

Also, when mailing, do not fold your page! :-)
