Recently, I took in an elderly couple. He lost his job, his home and his dignity. He has been struggling to pay for the simplest of things...leading to major depression. The VA has not helped at all. My children would also like to make them a card to thank him for his service and to thank her for supporting her troop. Would this be ok? They would still get one from me.

I am. They should be too. Protecting their country and Emily sending the man she loves off to war is a really tough thing. To give that much of yourself and life is and always will be a huge gift to me! Give them a hug for us
