For this swap, you will be taking a small, clean tin, such as an empty altoids box, etc. and decorating it up really pretty in a vintage theme. Then you will fill the box with all kinds of vintage ephemera. Eg; papers, pictures, stickers, beads, buttons, brads, ribbon, lace, stamps, coins, currency, etc. Anything so long as it represents days gone by. This is an international swap, in which you will have one partner. Please only send clean, quality items that you, yourself would love to receive. People with a rating lower than 4 and/or a blank profile will be banned. New swappers are welcome as long as they have their profiles filled out.

That is fine as long as the box is about the same size as an altoids tin. :)

i mean what if the tin is vintage? and also what if it appears to be a vintage reproduction?

i have both and not sure which i would want to send, but i dont think either should be changed on the outside,

is that ok?

That should be fine as long as it looks nice, but to be absolutely SURE, you may want to check with your partner to see if they prefer a hand-decorated one.

To Changeling; We are also having an ice storm since yesterday. EVERYTHING is covered in ice! It looks absolutely GORGEOUS! Of course, I had to get out in it with my camera to take some amazing photos. ;P

What exactly is an altoids tin?

Lisa~ It is a tin that mints come in. Altoids are a type of mint. The boxes are small and rectangular.
