Hi everyone! So its the NEW Year! Hello 2016!

Lt's get started on filling up a Journal with other member's (Artist's) awesome journal Pages. I would like to see everyone in the group have a 40+ page Journal to look at when Christmas rolls around again. Just think all the beautiful pages you will have made and received. I know I am excited to start making pages and receiving pages.

For this swap you will:

  • Use a 5x5 Journal page. You may use a 5x5 piece of Journal worthy paper that can be glued or altered to fit in a Journal.
  • Use mix media of any type.
  • The Chunkier the better But not necessary.
  • Think Happy Thoughts :)
  • Senders Choice

Please check your partners profile to see if you can match up little things that they like. But remember it is up to you.

A few questions - do we decorate both sides? Do we sign our name somewhere? I'm thinking that if we decorate one side, the other side can be lightly decorated and include the maker's info.

And by chunky - do you mean as chunky as corrugated cardboard? That's a favorite medium of mine, but not everybody likes the rustic-ness of cardboard.

Thanks for answering!

Where do you find 5 x 5 journals?

smmarrty 01/ 6/2016 #

I make my own - I just cut cardboard, mixed media paper and card stock (on the paper cutter at school) and punch holes and use binder rings. I make covers about 1/2 inch larger than the pages. Just my 2 cents....

Where to find journals: Walmart, Barns and Nobles, Kmart, Target and any craft store One side is fine Chunky: you can use card board and/or cover it in findings and paint and paper, anything you can find. Make it your own creation
