Description:

Swapping doesn't have to cost a bunch of money, or be super extravagant to be fun! This is a swap for those that like mail (duh) and like to laugh.

THOUGHTS: I was thinking about all the junk mail I receive, and of course everyone hates ads in their mail. Whether it be to sign up for a new credit card, purchase an item, subscribe to a service, donate to a charity, my natural instinct is to throw those away without opening them.

MY IDEA: Well, what if you got a hilarious fake ad in the mail from a swapper that was asking you to sign up for a credit card with a 25% APR? So enticing, right?! Or wanting to you donate to the Teens for Texting, not Talking Nonprofit Organization? Well that is the general idea of this swap.

SWAP: You will have one partner, one week to send, and you must design your own ridiculous ad. Think about what type of ad you would like to send and how you can make it hilariously ridiculous. Feel free to draw inspiration from your own mailbox (or not)! This must be something well thought out. You can handwrite it, cut out and paste different ads together to make a new one (think of a ransom note kind of thing), or type up something and print it to make it look official. You can also design the envelope to match the ad or to make it look more "official" (not required). Be creative! The more thought you put into crafting it, the better the end result and (hopefully) the bigger the laugh your partner will have.

IDEAS FOR YOU: Your ad can be about anything (but please avoid offensive subjects such as religion, nudity, foul language, etc); cars, animals, something abstract, whatever you think will be hilarious. Feel free to draw pictures of whatever you're trying to "advertise," or use real pictures. You could make or add a flat item that helps to "sell" your ad, like those fake credit cards that companies often send. You can check your partner's profile to see what they are interested in and what would make them laugh the most (although this is not required; you can get started on this before partners are assigned). The goal of this swap is to make your partner laugh! Then, once you have finalized your ad, fold it up, stick it in any old envelope, slap a stamp on it, and send it off to the box!

BONUS: This swap only requires one ad, but you may make as many ads as you would like or can fit into an envelope.

REMEMBER: Even if what you receive doesn't make you laugh, rate according to their effort and how well they followed these swap guidelines. Please do not send anything obviously offensive (a rule of thumb is if you're unsure about an idea, Don't Send It). If you have any issues with this, message your partner before rating.

NOTE: Please message me with questions, comments, or anything else (I will probably not reply to the thread on this page). No one below a 4.95 rating is permitted to this swap, no exceptions and no newbies.

Have fun!
