Description:

This is a special kind of book that contains a letter. Follow these steps to make you Snail Mail Flip Book:

  1. You will need 4 double sided colored/designed papers or 8 single-sided designed papers.

  2. Cut each paper into 6x6 squares. If you have 8 squares, glue two together until you have 4 doubled-sided designed squares.

  3. Lay 2 squares together with a slight space between them. Take a washi tape of your choice and tape the squares together on the front and back.

  4. Add another square to one end and repeat Step 3. Add the last square to one end and repeat Step 3.

  5. Now comes the important part, decorating your Snail Mail Flip Book. There are numerous ways you can decorate your Flip Book. Below are some ideas .

6.. Go to Pinterest or You Tube to see other ideas of Snail Mail Flip Books. Great places to get ideas of how to decorate.

Ideas ♥ Quotes ♥ Die-cuts ♥ Pictures ♥ Stickers ♥ Sticky notes ♥ Stick in a small card ♥ Banners ♥ Mail tag ♥ Dimensional stickers ♥ Things stapled in ♥ Lists of your current favorites. ♥ Stick in an envelope ♥ Run it through a sewing machine. ♥ Add a belly band ♥ Add pretty envelopes full of goodies ♥ Paper clips ♥ Project life cards ♥ Tape on additional flap

  1. Include a letter from you that contains whatever kind of information you wish to share with your partner. You may want to make a pocket on one of the 6x6 spaces so you can put your letter in it. You may want to do your letter on Project Life cards. or some other type card.

  2. You may want to ask you partner some questions. You can do that on a regular tag. You can put it in another pocket and put Mail Tag on the pocket.

  3. Make sure you include some goodies for your partner in the Flip Book. You can figure out ways to store your goodies and present them in your Flip Book. (Goodies: washi tape, stickers, buttons, project life cards, paper clips, enamel gems, and much more)

  4. The Due Date for this Swap is March 25

I reserve the right to excuse anyone from the swap after I review your ratings, comments , etc.

@sleepingrover2010 Is it sender's choice so I could start now or do you want to have it profile based?

This is a sender's choice flip book. So I recommend you read through the swap directions carefully again as I did a little changing in the layout of the directions. Then you can begin to work on the Snail Mail Flip Book. Take your time and do quality work. Remember to go to Pinterest and You Tube to gather ideas as well.

Hi! I'm still pretty new to swap-bot but have seen "project life cards" mentioned a few times. Can you please explain what they are and maybe describe an example?! Thanks so much for your time. Patty

Project Life Cards can be found at Michael's. They have a section in the store where they have all kinds of Project Life supplies. Project Life Cards are of varied size with words on them like "gorgeous," "love," "adore," and "smile." I hope this helps you, Patty.

Do the flip books have to be 6X6? I've made them using the Larger project Life cards.

I looked through some youtube videos and they look so pretty and fun to make!
I am going to watch this one and see if I dare to jump in to this. It is rather intimidating to start out with an 8 pages 6x6 for my first one!!

Thank you for making it international! :)
