Description: | |
I did my first inchies in this group and discovered I really like creating them. So this swap is for me and for anyone else who wants to take the plunge! What's an inchie? (I've taken this description from the forum at craftster.org). Itรขโฌโขs a 1 x 1 inch piece of artwork. As long as itรขโฌโขs an inch squared, you can use any media you like to make it, paper, fabric, wood, metalรขโฌยฆthe list goes on! A favourite seems to be the collaged inchie, with a combination of words and images making up the artwork. Heavy watercolour paper works perfectly for making inchies, but if you like to recycle you could use a cereal packet or other similar packaging, or even a postcard. That website has some links to pictures of inchies and some links to websites with more information. So -- for this swap, each swapper should create six inchies. That's six tiny works of art, 1 inch x 1 inch. Your six inchies can be themed -- six little animal pictures, for example -- or they can be random. You can use any medium you like. Most of us are likely to be beginners to this so receive what you are sent with love and enthusiasm! PM me if you have any questions. |
