Hi everyone! I thought this would be a nice idea, so... the rules: You will take a plastic or wooden dish, jar, box, whatever really. Why plastic or wooden and NOT glass? Because I've had my experiences with glass by now, the latest with a glass jar swap that was broken to pieces by the nice mail service. The size of it - well, herefor I'll give you the size of the one I will be using: 6cm in height and 13cm diameter. It can be round (mine is :)), it can be square, heck, it could be triangular or ball-sized. What it has to have is a lid though to keep the goodies inside safely. :) Think a box or maybe a tupperware dish? You can decorate it or leave it be - that's entirely up to you. You should fill it with NICE goodies to make Dotees with - meaning fabrics, embelishments, nice beads, wool, ... and if you like also very unusual things (if it's really extremely unusual why not write a note WHY you chose this or that? :)). There is nothing you absolutely have to add, you can leave out something completely, send for example no beads, but other things instead - this is entirely up to you, too, but please send nice things, stuff YOU would love to receive. So the whole swap is more or less entirely your choice, just try not to send it all in a colour your swap-partner really despises - or something similar. The idea is to send your partner nice, creative things - maybe they'll be stuff your partner hasn't seen like this before? It's to create new ideas and waken up one's creativity. One more thing: The dish / box / whatever should be really stuffed with things and please not halfways empty!!! Size-wise think of what I've given as example - it doesn't have to have the same size, but it should hold about the same amount - or more if you like. Last rules:
If you're unsure about anything - contact me. :) I just want to make sure that everyone receives a lovely swap! I hope you'll have fun with this swap! |
