Description:

For this swap you will be making a pass and paste postcard. Each person will add 3 inchies to the postcard till it is full.

To start off the postcard should be sturdy and the size of it be 4 by 6 inchies. That should leave it with 24 inchies on the card when full. Which means it should take 8 rounds till you get it back.

Take the PC and on the back add your name AND ADD A STAMP for returning it to you when full. Also mark off 8 spaces for your partner to sign it.

ON the front make a grid of 24 inch spaces. This is so that the inchies you make for it can be added anywhere on it. Or side by side. For this first round you will not be adding inchies to your own card. However you will be making 3 inchies for your partner to keep. ALL INCHIES WILL BE MAKERS CHOICE ALL ROUNDS.

Inchies can be stamped, embossed, drawn on, paint, collage, cut and pasted, and other artistic theme and medium. Basically any artistic medium is allowed so long as your inchies are well made with time and effort. NO BUTTONS ALLOWED !!!

An inchie is 1" x 1" squared. Please make your Inchies 1x1 squared.

These PC's MUST BE MAILED IN AN ENVELOPE. When the postcard is full PLEASE send it home.

***IF YOU DROP OUT OF THE SWAPS PLEASE SEND THE POSTCARD HOME SO THAT IT CAN CONTINUE ON AND THE PERSON CAN GET THEIR COMPLETED POSTCARD BACK.

I will be trying to help everyone keep track of their cards by asking that on each round you write down who's card you have to send out and who you are sending it to in the message area. If by chance you get your own card back unfinished. You do not have to add to it. Instead just send it back out next round along with 3 inchies for your partner to keep.

Very cool swap. Thank you for hosting it.

Thanks wolfeagle. I think it could make for some awesome postcards if we can get people to join.

I like it except for the add postage part. I'm concerned that if I or someone else puts their country postage stamp on it and then a foreign country finishes it, the postage would be no good. Am I correct or just over thinking it?

I have a question about putting the postage on the card since this is international. We also don't know what it will weigh with all those inchies. (I'm hoping we will have lots of people in the swap from all over). Also do we send it home naked with all that work on it? Thanks, I think this is a great swap.

Ok I didn't think of that. For the postage of the finished PC to save on cost I will make it USA only. I've mailed out over a 100 inchies taped on a large card and it only cost me two 49cent stamps.

The inchies we are making for this are not going to be removable. So you really wont be putting anymore on them then you would a homemade postcard.

As for mailing them they should be in an envelope every time. just so nothing gets damaged.

If we are going to be gluing the inchies onto the postcard, why do they need a backing? Wouldn't it be lighter if they didn't?

LunaMoody 03/ 6/2016 #

No they don't need a backing on the inchies. That is what the postcard will be.
