Description:

This electronic swap is open to all members of the right now group. We are in need of fresh ideas for swaps. You have them! Now is the time to trot out those great ideas, and in doing so you can win some fabulous prizes from me.

There are five levels of winning on this swap: (all contingent on the individual's full swap partcipation)

  • The first two are Speedy Swapper Awards which can be won by two participants: The swapper who is the first person to join the swap and the first person to post their idea. (A Speedy Group officer award will also be issued after the swap closes.)

  • The second is a Most Creative idea award that will be determined by participants via a Survey Monkey poll that is created after the swap closes.

  • The third is an incentive award to get the groups 125 members participating. If 25 or more people join the swap, EVERYONE in the swap gets a goodie from me.

  • The fourth is a random drawing where up to 10 participants will receive a writerly prize from me. One surprise package will be rewarded for every 5 participants in the swap. (So, if 50 people join, 10 random swappers will get a prize; if 20 people join, 4 random winners; if 5 people join, 1 random winner, etc.)

  • The fifth is a prize that will be awarded at my discretion to a person (or people) who most impress me as the swap host.

RATINGS

Rate your partner when she/he posts their idea to the Group Forum thread.

HOW THE SWAP WORKS - THE RULES

If you have read this far you are probably seriously interested. Thank you for that.

This group is for ALL writers. You don't get to denigrate someone else's idea or writing because it's not what you would do or to your personal preference. Group members write in all genres of popular fiction, they write blogs, they write poetry, nonfiction, realism and everything in between. All writing counts and all writing matters.

Suggest a Swap-Win a Prize is a sticky in the group forum. You will post your ideas in that thread and it remains a permanent part of the group forum.

Please number yourself as you sign in. Pay attention to this. The first person is #1, the second is #2, etc.

No duplicate swap ideas will be accepted. If the idea you have has already been posted by someone else, you'll need to either come up with another or substantially alter the idea so it isn't a duplicate.

Details matter. Don't just post: "My idea is for a picture prompt swap." What makes your idea special? Different from others we've done? Fun? Challenging?

Swap series ideas are welcome.

How to come up with ideas? Review the swaps you've been in; peruse those writing, creativity and other books and magazines you've been hoarding; think about what you've always wanted to see posted; consider how you want YOUR group to be.

The swap ideas can be for Type 1, Type 2 or Type 3 swaps. That means everything from no cost and low cost to rating/heart requirements. All levels of writing experience are welcome.

Swap ideas can be aimed toward generalists or specific types of writing.

A Creativity prize will be awarded, so give your idea some thought!

Electronic. Group membership. International.

Can we do more than one idea? Or should we stick to just one?

BubbLeGumGirLie 03/13/2016 #

1 - I think at least as ariestess didn't number herself? If she is #1 I am #2.

My swap idea is an email swap: Prompt ideas Everyone should send their partners (number as much as you want to do) 10 prompts - either sentences they can start their story with, a situation or 5 word prompts (like: summer - sunshine - sunburn - crying - airplane). I do have a jar full with prompts so if I am bored I just pull one out and see if I can come up with something to it. May it be a character, a storyline, a short story or whatever. It gets my creative juices flowing and maybe it works like that for all the others as well. I think it is a cool swap as it helps a lot of people with prompts. :)

Hope it was right to post it?

Have a good day.

(just delete my comment please. Just saw that it was to post in the forum, overread that, sorry)
