Description:

CHRISTMAS Mini Cardmaking kit in a Matchbox swap- US & Canada only

Please be sure to read all the way through the description to make sure you meet the requirements

This was inspired by the cute mini-stamp sets seen at Michael’s that I keep collecting! They are found in the $1 section. I have found the mini clear stamp sets at Michael’s, Target, dollar stores, stamp/scrapbook shops. If your not sure what im talking about when I say “mini clear stamp set” please contact me. They are super cute and fit perfectly inside the 250ct matchboxes.

Using a Christmas theme, decorate a large 250 ct matchbox and make a mini card-making kit.

The kit should contain supplies in a christmas theme/colors.

These 3 things MUST be in the kit:

1.) at least 3 mini pre-folded cards with envelopes if possible- (make and cut your own if you want, size is up to you, just make sure they are cut neatly and they fit neatly inside the matchbox. Please don’t send a 1x1 card, make them as big as possible while still able to fit inside the matchbox.

2.) 1 Christmas related mini clear stamp set OR if you cant find a mini clear set you may send 2 small coordinating wood mounted stamps these cannot be the self inking felt type stamps, either clear or rubber stamps are what should be sent – If you choose to send wood mounted, try to make the 2 stamps go together, as in a coordinating image and phrase or saying. Amuse has some great ones that would work great for the mini swap.

3.) A mini surprise

Then choose at least 3 christmas themed items from the following list to include in your kit:

  • Mini gel pens/marker

  • Package of mini buttons, regular sized buttons, mini or regular sized brads, beads, flowers, charms or use your stash and package up a cute mix of all!

  • Mini bottle of glitter, glitter glue, paint

  • Mini sticker sheet or flakes (you could cut up some of your sheets to make small enough to fit)

  • Mini ink pad or cube in coordinating colors

  • Mini spool of ribbon/fiber

  • Paper flowers

  • Mini pre-cut patterned papers to layer and coordinate

  • Mini die cuts, chip board, grunge board accents

  • Mini rhinestones

  • Mini set of colored pencils, markers, pens (for my own give away kits, I bought a big package of the short ones and repackaged into coordinating colors!)

  • Mini paper punch – Target and Michael’s usually have these for $1!

  • Mini glue dots, glue stick, adhesive

A lot of the items are smaller by nature (glue stick, glitter glue, brads, buttons, etc) so if you find a “regular” sized item that fits in your kit, go for it. Try to focus on the small cute things, or package it in a “cute” way that is exciting to open or look at.

Aim for <3’s and feel free to send more than 3 items off the list, or improvise with something I haven’t mentioned, as long as it goes with the theme. Feel free to be creative in finding christmas related items to include in your kit. You could use the traditional colors of red and gree, or expand and use another non-traditional color combo that your partner may like. Last year my xmas cards where magenta and lime green! Blue and white/silver, gold, burgundy, etc are also inspiring xmas colors. Check out your partners profile to see what they may like.

Plan to spend about $15 dollars on this swap, that’s by no means a set limit, as some items you may already own in your stash or be able to purchase for a small amount, but meant to serve as a guide to the swap expectations.

Nitty Gritty-

  • US & Canada swappers only (will host another international if there is interest).

  • Sorry, no newbies this time (newbie = someone with less than 10 real mail swaps)

  • Swappers must have a completed profile. I will read through before I ban so please make sure it is filled out completely.

  • 4.9 or better swappers, with no unexplained no-sends or recent late sends. Must also have at least 10 different rated mail swaps (other than postcard/e-swaps)

  • I will try to angel swaps (within reason) and will also ask for angels, should there be anyone who gets flaked on

  • I reserve the right to ban anyone deemed questionable. If you see a known flaker on the signup list please PM me and let me know so I can check into it.

  • Please remember to rate. Please rate your partner a 5 if they have fulfilled the minimum requirements. If you are unable to send on time, please inform me and your swap partner. It is common courtesy. If you send late without informing me and your swap partner, you run the risk of recieving a lower rating.

If you have any questions please feel free to PM me or email [email protected]

Quick Question: Is the goal here to have a set card design/map and all the supplies for that particular card or is the goal just a mix of supplies so that the recipient can create their own designs? I was going towards the creating one design but realized that was never actually said.

If its one design do we need to send a sketch/template etc? I hope its just for mixing it up! Much more fun! lol

Thanks ahead of time! Im so loving this.. its so much fun to put kits together! Krista

Hi Krista, Its just for general mix of supplies, but the idea being all coordinated around a christmas theme and in mini style, so no sketch needed, although it may help to plan out what your going to include in your kit.
