Description:

For 2016 I would like to do a bookmark swap series. You don't need to participate in all swaps to join. Just see if you have time to do this swap and enjoy.

Requirements:

1.send a (cross)stitched and finished bookmark to you swappartner. The subject is senders choice, but it is always nice to stitch something your partner likes. It is also nice to have a subject that fits the time of year.....

2.it needs to be handmade. It needs also to be stitched. Most of us will use cross stitch but other kinds of embroidery are allowed. Just don't expect your partner to send you a high skilled hardanger bookmark or something. If you want to do this to practise your skills, feel free to do so. Cross stitches is the minimum requirement!

3.The size must be a proper bookmark size. It must be useable as a bookmark, so not to small!!! I am not going to mention a minimum size as we are all grown ups here, and we all know the purpose of a bookmark. It doesn't have to be rectangular, but can be a different shape. As long as it can be used as a bookmark

@Lila84 are you looking for patterns or finishing(making it a bookmark shape)? If you need a quick bookmark shape the big crafts stores (Michael's, Jo-Ann, Hobby Lobby) prrobably all sell a pre-made bookmark shape on Aida. Independent local stores might, too.

And I agree, pinterest has tonss of wonderful bookmark pattern ideas. Sometimes I look through my cross stitch pattern books and find a motif out of a larger pattern to use.
