Envelope Flip Book

Can you verify envelope size. I make a lot of cards, so I wondered if those were okay, or should I use the large card envelopes for this swap.

I am so interested in doing one of these! They are so neat! If I do this it will be my first! I have done lots of pocket letters and this is a step up from the pls. I watched the you tube video...it looks easy enough. I just got cold feet I guess☺️!

Question - what envelopes would be appropriate and what size?

The size of envelope you use can be up to you but please no smaller then 3 1/2 by 6 1/2. Also all envelopes used need to be the same size. You can make the envelopes yourself if you like or use ones you already have. As long as the book is done in the same method it is done in the video.

Imtried watching that videao, and I gotta say, she is so all over the place, I don't understand what she is doing! Why must it be that method?! I have found other sites that give a FAR better actual step by step way of making these, that makes far more sense for people that want to try this.

@plushiecat I was thinking the same thing. I have a lot of homemade envies, but trying to follow along with her was impossible!

There are other videos that are more helpful, and i think if we can still make what is wanted cuz it sounds cool, i think/hope it will ne okay.

I agree that she bounces around a lot... the other difference between what she does and what I have done is fill the pockets with surprises. I guess everyone has their own way... that's a good thing though! For this particular example it was too much decoration for me personally. Everything came from a "collection"... I'd rather see some artistic elements rather than select and glue.

@pkpeace I can see both ways. Maybe the person (or her) was really into Disney, so a thematic book was appropriate. I kinda liked it because I am a huge Disney fan. That wasn't my issue. :) I liked all the decoration, and will prolly embellish mine well, depending on the recipient. :) What I may do, is decorate each envelope dependent on what goes in it. (say she likes cats, Disney, outdoorsy stuff...i'd decorate the envelopes one per theme, and stuff accordingly) :)

Hi.....The video link I provided was just for an example of how to make an envelope book for anyone who never has before. If you want to use a different method that is fine. If you have links to other videos please share them with us. As for the decorating of the book as stated in the listing you can use whatever you like on it. You can use a theme or do each envelope different. I want everyone to have fun making these. So use your imagination an run wild with it. And no you don't have to go overboard on it like she does in the video.

I actually DON'T like how she decorated it at all. The staples and how she uses clear tape is cheap and tacky looking. I'm adding a note into the listing NOT to do that.
