I have hosted some Round Robin Journal Swaps , that are only open t o "experienced" swappers with a great rating - and I have been contacted by many newbies asking if they can join...

I've told them to find a "quick turnaround swap " and get some great ratings, and they would be most welcome.

well, there just aren't that many "quickies" that are open to newbies, ...and I remember when I was one myself...

SO... This is for YOU, if you are brand new, and haven't yet found a quick swap to get some good ratings.

This is an International Swap, open to EVERYONE! - even experienced swappers (adding a couple "5"ratings is good for anyone!

SWAP DETAILS: you will have TWO partners (that means you will get two ratings)

Send FOUR blank* notecards with envelopes to each of your partners.

(That's eight notecards total, which is usually one packet of notecards from the store)

*In some past swaps, people have questioned what "BLANK" means - - there can be NO greeting/writing/wishes, etc. on the card! Better to take a piece of one-sided scrapbook paper, and fold it to fit into an envelope. This is a FAST swap (one week from signup deadline to mailing deadline, so get your cards right away, put them in the mailing envelope, even weigh it, if you want (remember, this is an international swap, so don't add postage yet)

Swap partners will be assigned right after the signing deadline, all you'll have to do is address the envie, add the right postage, and get it mailed on time.

Remember to RATE your partner as soon as your swap arrives...there are some eager newbies waiting for a number after their name!

Any questions or comments please just ask or message me.

The usual 2.5x3.5 original art work ? plus 4 blank. For 2 people ? thank you, Jed

gramsbuttonbox 04/ 2/2016 #

No, these are NOT ATCs. They are folded blank cards with envelopes. I can find them at dollar stores, 8 or 10 to a package. I posted a picture of what an example looks like

saffronnginger 04/ 7/2016 #

Must the cards be folded?

gramsbuttonbox 04/ 8/2016 #

Yes, and blank inside...as I've often said, it IS acceptable to fold and cut a sheet of one-sided scrapbook paper, to fit into the envelope.

I rec'd a msg that said that I can't be in this swap since I'm already in it?! Can you let me know, since I'm a newbie, if I am signed up for this or not? It would be a really easy one for me, since I make my own cards!

gramsbuttonbox 04/12/2016 #

Flower field, yes, I show that you are in this swap. It should show up on your Dashboard, (the link at the upper left). I sent you a message, about your profile, please read it, and I would like you to take care of it right away. Thank you, and welcome to my swap, I am happy you joined it

Aquiller 04/15/2016 #

Hi Just want to check that it is OK to send blank card stock that the recipient can add embellishments to ink stamp etc to create cards or are you ment to send ready made notelets you can just write in and send. I want to make sure I send the right things. Thanks Aquiller

gramsbuttonbox 04/17/2016 #

The item that YOU send in this swap, is for completely, totally utterly BLANK of any/All words, phrases, greetings, hellos, howdy's, happy ANYTHINGS

but decorated!) on the outside ONLY!

With squiggles, hearts, stripes, polka dots, or any other NON-WORD decorations. Please do not stress so,

They can be store-bought, or handmade, as long as NO words are anywhere on the outside or inside of the cards!

(Not counting copyright info on a store bought card.)

I will admit, I have been running this swap since 2007 and even tho this has usually been a very popular swap, I have never had this much confusion ...please, swappers, how could I try to explain it better, or so that it. Made better sense?

Aquiller 04/17/2016 #

Thanks that has helped the cards are to be decorated but just without words I was thinking of sending plain white apature cards among my set but will put something different in its place. I just wanted to be sure I had it right as I am new to Swap-bot and though have been involved in swaps before they have beenn more informal and not had a rating system so I wanted to make sure I was on the right track Aquiller

lawchick 04/19/2016 #

Do coordinators or swap-boy remind recipients to rate their sender? I haven't been on in years and am noticing I'm not getting rated at all after sending.. :-/

gramsbuttonbox 04/19/2016 #

A quilled, I am happy to welcome your to this swap, and to swapbot. I hope you're have many great swapping experiences, and make lots of good friends here.

gramsbuttonbox 04/19/2016 #

Both of you, and everyone. There is no "rule" that requires us to rate our partners. Often, we simply might forget, if we are busy, or involved in a lot of swaps.

It is totally acceptable to write a gentle reminder, asking if your swap was received, because you mailed on such-and-such date.

Hopefully you will be in swapbot long enough that it does not matter so much, if a rating is missed.

Off i forget to rate,il appreciate getting a reminder from my partner. Good luck, and I hope you have a good week

gramsbuttonbox 04/19/2016 #

This new technology is NOT so great! It finishes words, for me, and so. Often, they are NOT the word I want!

Apologies to Aquiller!

marliese 04/20/2016 #

Sorry to add to your burden, but... by 'decorated on the outside', you mean patterned, right? No need actually actively decorate it? At least, that's what I thought when I read your suggestion to use onesided scrapbook paper.

I love the comments section btw. It brought a huge smile to my face. I like this swap already!

winkipinki 04/21/2016 #

Okay _ this is amusing, but I do have a question. Can we send our partner 4 cards the same?

gramsbuttonbox 04/22/2016 #

Yes, decorated on the outside means some kind of patterns...it can even be plain, in color, with a white inside...

And yes, they can all be the same...

Whew...like I wrote, please do not stress so....this really IS supposed to be FUN!

heather24242 04/23/2016 #

Are we supposed to send envelopes to go with each card? For example do I send four note cards with four envelopes to go with each note card and put those all in one bigger envelope? Or do I just send 4 note cards in one big envelope?

jenlthomas 04/24/2016 #

Hello gram, I've updated my profile, per your request. The site will not allow me to reply to your message. I hope my profile is sufficient.

Ladyluck44 04/24/2016 #

Heather it states with envelopes.

gramsbuttonbox 04/26/2016 #

yes, you send four cards and four envies, all inside another larger envie.

Thanks LadyLuck, also
