Another monthly challenge to write -- in this case something "flash"

It can be fiction or creative nonfiction. It will be less than 1000 words, it will be a story with a beginning, middle and end, at least one character, something happens in the story. Flash fiction is simply a concise story, you can use action, dialog, description as usual. Flash creative nonfiction has all the elements of story; the difference is it's a real event, something that really happened that you tell as a story using all true details. You can search both terms on google and find examples. Almost any brief event can be the subject.

This is a type 3 swap because it is creative and will certainly take a while to write. After all, writing is a craft. You can start thinking about what you want to write when you sign up, it doesn't depend on who your partners are. You'll have two partners because it is a letter and needs only one stamp. You can simply print it twice or photocopy once if you don't have a computer/printer.
