June is ....my birthday, best friend and penpal month! So let's celebrate by SENDing POSTAL YUMMINESS OUT INTO THE WORLD! Viva La Snail Mail & Art Exchange is now on FACEBOOK! look me up, why don't ya! :) I made one of these for my first swap-bot partner and she loved it! Check it out here YOUTUBE Let's continue to celebrate Snail Mail and make a nice snail mail stationery kit for your partner. Please include a small handwritten note as well but you can write more if you'd like - it's up to you! So the idea is to make a snail mail kit. This is not about throwing a few pieces of paper in an envelope, it’s about making a kit. Your kit must contain at least 10 different items (not 10 pieces of each) – this is the absolute minimum and use your best judgement, please. ***VERY IMPORTANT! The kit should have the same theme and looks like everything goes together. A kit could contain:- Stationery Folio DIY writing stationery decorate with rubberstamp journaling cards large shipping tags pen envelopes ( 1 envelope) writing paper (2 sheets) decorative / funky paperclips stickers (1 sheet) color paper ( 2 sheets) postcards bookmark handmade swap cards with your partners name on envelope book Envelope Book Tutorial Envelope book stick-on wax seals ( 1 sheet) paper seals (1 sheet) sticker seals rubberstamped greeting cards washi tape - sampler address booklet notecards decorated mailing labels ( 1 sheet) return address labels stickers (1 sheet) unused postage stamps monogram greeting or notecards sets name/personalized stationery letterhead and envelope set baker's twine My own stationery set on Pinterest: RuthsInkwell You could put it all in a box, folder, plastic wallet, make a fabric pouch, a tin, stationery folio ….you get the idea. only join in if your time permits. You can get most of the items done now! RULES ARE RULES! NO FLAKERS please, I WON'T be able to angel, but if you are willing to volunteer and follow-thru to ANGEL, if need be - please send me a private message. Please comment below if you have any questions or if things are not made clear. I am open to suggestions. Tip: Please make sure you put some love and thoughtfulness in making this kit and is something that you would be happy and excited to receive. Be CREATIVE - since it's a kit - you can put it together in a flat box or a zipper plastic envelope too. NEWBIE-Friendly. I will also look closely at ratings. If there are any recent unresolved 1s and lots of 3s, I reserve the right to remove you. Also, if you've taken part in any of my swaps and did not fulfill your commitment, you will be removed immediately. If you have not logged in 5 days or so before swap sign-up, I will also remove you from this swap. If your partner or me sends you an email, please acknowledge it and respond back with your decision. It's the right thing to do! LIFE HAPPENS so contact your partner immediately if you know you will be late and provide them with a timeline when to expect their swap. RATING: if you received a nice quality kit, meets the requirements, rate a 5 even if you don't like the theme, this is sender's choice, but be mindful of your partner's dislikes, please! Most importantly have fun and viva la snail mail!!! |
