Description:

If you enjoy carving your own stamps, this is your chance to make and share a stamp with someone else.

Choose an image, transfer it to your material, and carve away! Test it and send along to your swap partner.

Your image can be something you made or something you found, as long as it's something that you think your partner will like. The image should be at least 1" in width and height.

The stamp material can be Mastercarve, lino material, eraser, or something else, as long as it's sturdy enough for stamping.

You can (and probably should) test the stamp as you carve, so it's ok to send a used/stained stamp.

Bonus: It would be a nice extra to include a handmade card or other item showing off the final stamp image.

Make sure to post something about yourself (likes, dislikes, etc.) in your profile, to help your partner choose an image of you might like.

Feel free to post an image of your stamp and/or a stamped image of it on these Flickr groups: http://www.flickr.com/groups/28928217@N00/ http://www.flickr.com/groups/stampyourartout/

Any swappers with poor feedback (less than 4 even) will be removed from the swap. New swappers are welcome though.

This is SO much fun. I used to do it ALL the time. Good Luck with your swap!

For reference, it'd be awesome to get something nature-themed as a stamp. Ocean waves, lizards, plants, leaves, tropical flowers, the sun, the moon, mountains ... that sort of thing. :D But do check out my profile and see if anything else there floats your boat. Maybe a pirate or dragon stamp? ;)

I got my stamp today from Valerie -- and it is Perfect! I love the little lizard! Thank you SO much! :D

BTW, for the swap coordinator, I'm late on my swap, but I did email my partner to let her know, since I'd only found Mastercarve late last week. They used to sell it at my Jo-Ann, but they put it on clearance and sold out when I wasn't looking, so I had to go hunting. Doh! ;) Anyway, my package is going out this week. Sorry for my ever so slight slackerdom, but I hope it's worth the wait! :D

LOL. I just realized you are the swap coordinator, Valerie. Duhhh. ;) So I guess all of my comments are to the same person. Woo. :D
