Description:

Hi everyone. This will be a series of swaps, with 6 rounds, run fortnightly. Please try to join in for all 6 rounds!

For the first round, start with a flat 'container' of some sort. You may like to use an envelope, a ziplock bag etc. This will be passed on in future rounds, and should fit within an A5 sized envelope.

Then, fill your envelope/bag with 5 different items. Please try to keep your items flat and not too heavy, so that they can be sent in an A5 envelope for $2. Items could be stickers, washi tape samples, notecards, post-its, bookmarks, envelopes, postage stamps, letter writing paper etc.

Then write a note with a list of what you have included and the title of the swap, saying 'Round 1'. Please write this list on paper with enough room for all 6 rounds.

For round 2 (and each consecutive round). You may take whatever you like from the envie/bag - so long as you replace it! You then write 'Round 2' on the list, writing what you took, what you replaced it with, and what was thus left. Then, send it off to your partner in an A5 envie.

So, the list might look something like this:

Pass it on Round #1

Keruka began with:

  • 4 pink washi tape samples
  • 2 free postcards
  • 1 snail bookmark
  • 2 sheets of flower letter writing paper
  • 1 fairy sticker sheet

Round #2

(insert name here) took:

  • 4 pink washi tape samples
  • 1 snail bookmark
  • 2 sheets of flower letter writing paper

And added:

  • 3 $1 stamps
  • 10 used postage stamps
  • 2 pretty envelopes

Leaving:

  • 2 free postcards
  • 1 fairy sticker sheet
  • 3 $1 stamps
  • 10 used postage stamps
  • 2 pretty envelopes

And so on. Please note you don't have to include these things - they're just examples! Each round you can choose to take only 1 thing, all 5, or any number in between - so long as you replace them with the same number of items. Also, please try to send different things. If there is already a sheet or two of stickers, try to put in something different. Variety is the spice of life and we don't want envelopes full of all the same things being sent around :)

The series will run for 6 swaps - on the last swap, you are free to keep all items in the envie/bag, and see where it's been!

No rating requirement as it's a group swap, but I do retain the right to ban any suspicious swappers.

Any questions please ask - have fun! :)

Do you have a suggestion for approx value or such per item please?

Keruka 08/ 7/2016 #

Hi Wuzzel. Really anything that's a dollar or two. A few nice envelopes or some washi tape samples might only equal $1 (or less) but a nice bookmark might cost $3 or more. Really just anything that is nice, easy to send, and you think someone might want. Try to be generous without going over the top. My advice would be to send things you'd be happy receiving. Also, don't feel as though you have to buy anything. By all means do so if you'd like to, but feel free to send things from your stash. Hope that helps?
