Welcome to the 2016 Christmas Advent Altered Matchbox Swap (#2)
I've always wanted to do this, so I'm really excited about this swap! As a little girl, my grandmother used to give me a handmade advent calendar with little trinket surprises that I could open each day as a countdown to Christmas and I LOVED it. Thank you for joining me.

This is a 6 series swap, this is the 1st in the series. For this swap the numbers are 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

If you participate in all swaps in the series, you will have a complete Christmas advent handmade matchbox set (24). For each swap you must make a set of 6 and send to 1 partner.

This is a CHRISTMAS THEMED swap with specific rules. Please follow them so in the end, we all can have a cohesive look.

This is an adult swap, not meant for children.

I will not be doing a display case swap at the end due to the bulk and postage. It's up to you on how you want to display. An altered cereal box makes a great display case, adding a magnet to the back to display on the fridge, hanging them on the tree, stringing them on a line, etc.

For this Altered Matchbox Swap you don't need to be an artist. Just put your love, care, and creativity into making it and the receiver will treasure it!

Rules:
(6) 32 ct Matchbox (store-bought or handmade)
Decorate inside and out, front and back (no part of the original matchbox should be seen)

No stickers

Put the number on the front AND the side (so they can be displayed either way)

Must include a small homemade or store bought item inside (remember this is a 32 ct matchbox, so think TINY) (Check profile likes/dislikes)

Flat or 3-D front (check comments)

Knob Type or Hanging Type (check comments)

Include a swap tag or note with the swap name and your details to receive proper ratings from your partner

Once you join the swap please add your type preferences to the comments below (either flat or 3-D front AND knob/pull-out or hanging)

What is an Altered Matchbox? An Altered Matchbox is a store-bought or handmade matchbox that is decorated by painting, stamping, adding ephemera, etc. Matchbox size (32-ct). We are using 32 ct for this swap.
